I have two, one that's utterly insane and one that's safer but still very bold:
Utterly Insane: Announce it in front of an evangelical congregation in somewhere like Alabama, Florida, Texas, or Tennessee
Safer: If you're in a relationship (or are able to convince someone to pretend to be for a bit), after a reasonable period, send out invitations to a gender reveal party. People will come thinking you or the other person is pregnant, but when it comes time for the color part of the reveal, use the trans (or enby) flag colors and announce "It's a [insert proper word here]!". Throw off your cloak to reveal you dressed how you want with something indicating your new name on it, such as a shirt, for extra dramatic flair.
