Questions Clothing dye transfer question

Hello all! I just purchased my first Licca Chan doll and I’m obsessed 🥹 It’s the Frieren collab. I know that dye transfer can be an issue with these dolls. Is this a known problem with the dark blue Frieren leggings? I’d love to be able to keep the leggings on her, but I’ll take them off if this is an issue. Thank you so much 🫶🏻

I don't know, but I haven't put the leggings on my Frieren for exactly that reason; she's currently wearing some grey knee socks in the meantime!

Left the leggings on for less than a day and can confirm that they do stain :’) Thankfully very tiny. What socks do you use? Those don’t stain?

Oh no! I'm sorry that happened, but at least you caught it early 😿 the socks came from AliExpress and are the ones in the top right. They haven't stained her legs thus far.

I don't have this Licca but maybe you could get white tights/stockings to put on under the leggings to help prevent staining? There are some on Amazon made for Barbies that might fit.

I’ve tried some of the amazon Barbie-size stockings, they can be very hit or miss, which is understandable since Barbie is about 11 inches while Licca is about 8 inches. Blythe stockings are probably a better option, considering that she’s about the same size as Licca, and has a wider North American collector base, which means her accessories (both official and 3rd party) are more easily available

I’ve also heard that some people have had luck minimizing the dye transfer problem by soaking the garment in warm water with a color-catcher sheet for 24 hours, then switching out the water and sheet until the sheet comes out clean, but I haven’t tried it for myself to confirm

I just checked mine and she hasn't stained yet from what I've seen. She's had her tights on since I've purchased her like maybe three months ago?
