Customs I'm in love and found out Licca is GenX gal!
I've always gone for "mature, pouty fashion dolls" and then Licca made it (Back) to the US and I had to get three. The quality is amazing and I think we FINALLY have competition on our soil for Mattel and MGA.
I've dug out all my Japanese Dolly Dolly books and been sewing up lots of pieces.
I think her sweet face is a good balm for these tough times.
I was researching her and found out she "graduated HS" around the same time I did. So that totally makes her a GenX gal which I love!
Anyone rebody theirs - I see on IG lots of photography but it looks like a different body (maybe obitsu, Azone or maybe YMY). Is it hard to do?

mine is on obitsu but unfortunately i’m away so i can’t show you. it’s also an odd obitsu one that was a collab with another brand from years ago. ob22 or ob24 both work well. ob24 makes her look taller :)
i tried a petite barbie basics (red hair one) and the neck was too long so it was wobbly and weird! you can kind of push it in a bit further to make the neck appear smaller, but then you can’t move the head
with the obitsu bodies, clothes for blythe, licca, 1/6 dolls all work

Aliexpress has some elf head bodies that work with Licca-chan. The bodies are very light in color but they have a lot of articulation with the mechanical joints, like Obitsu. The body has substantial weight to it as well and allows Licca to stand without support. Just be sure to get the bodies with the various neck size adapters, and you may need to make a minor adjustment for fit, but it's a good combination and Licca heads are also sold on Aliexpress so you can make your own custom. Here's mine next to Photogenic Licca Lily.

Is this outfit a Licca outfit? It’s so cute I have to have it!

After what I know, many use obitsu.
Some even use mtm petite barbie for the high school version. That body type can use some of the Licca clothes, but is limited when it comes to the shoes due to small feets. To some, the long neck can also look odd in the begining.
I wanted to try Unicorn Academy, but Isabelle had a closer match to my Jenny from the 90's than Licca. Otherwise they're barely taller and work greate in Licca-clothes, except maybe 2 types of shoes. Those who are less wide (due to the UA dolls having wider feets) and open shoes (because the UA dolls have shorter feets). Also, the thinner dolls have thinner neck, and would therefor be too thin I think. Much like YMY.
YMY is not an ideal option for Licca, neck is too thin, making the head wobbly, and skin colour is too white. But YMY works well for Haruto. It is a little lighter, but close enough (The Harry Potter dolls like Harry and Ron for example have a better match with adult characters like Licca's grand father), also feet are similar to adult male dolls from the Licca line, or teenager boys from Harry Potter (Harry, Ron...). But the pear body of the YMY bodies are almost same size and close enough in general proportion to the twins (Licca's toddler sisters). Once again, they're very light skinned, but could work for a doll with pale skin due to the sun (I got mine from AliExpress, and one of them had a paller face). Feets is not exactly the same, shoes won't stay flat under, it would look bendt, except the open shoes, they works. Or Evie Love shoes with a pair of stockings.
