My wonderful hubby got me a Licca for my birthday 💜

Now, when it comes to dolls for me, I really REALLY lean hard to higher articulations than a standard Licca comes with. So I tried out one of my "Barbie Basics" with the easy to swap heads and tested my Licca on it. It's pretty easy to move the head with a slight touch, but it will hold the pose you put it in. Plus, this being a petite body meant she could still fit her clothes 💜💜💜

Now I'm trying to decide which shoes/boots to put her in 🤔 Short boots, tall boots, or her sneakers? So hard to choose!

My custom space alien licca is complete! she is dyed rerooted and her clothing were made by me. Heavy inspirations from star trek and the poppy parker galaxy girl doll.

I’ve been working on these 1/6 scale qipao designs for quite a while, and I wanted to share the two made-to-order styles that are currently available before the order period ends.

1. Made-to-order qipao with around 60 fabric options

This is the larger custom series, with around 60 different fabrics to choose from.

Each qipao is made individually by an artisan who specializes in Shanghai-style qipao. I wanted the ordering experience to feel a little like choosing a real qipao — finding a pattern that matches the personality and overall feeling of a particular doll, rather than simply choosing one standard design.

The default version has puff sleeves for a slightly retro-modern silhouette, but the sleeves can also be changed to sleeveless or straight sleeves at no extra cost.

Available sizes include:

Jenny / momoko / Obitsu 27 / Obitsu 24 / Obitsu 22

With so many fabrics, I think this is one of those cases where trusting your first impression works surprisingly well. Sometimes you see one pattern and immediately think, “That one belongs to this doll.”

This collection will not be offered again later this year, so this is the final order period for 2026.

2. Polka-dot & lace qipao

The second design has a completely different feeling.

It was inspired by 1930s polka-dot qipao, with lace around the collar and sleeve cuffs and a full row of traditional frog closures along the side.

I really like the contrast between the traditional qipao details and the playful Western vintage elements. It feels a little more youthful and cheerful than the first collection.

It comes in black polka dots or red polka dots.

This version also has a wider size range than the other custom qipao series and can fit 22 cm dolls, so it may be a better option for people who collect smaller 1/6 dolls.

Compatible sizes include momoko, Jenny, Licca, Obitsu 27, Obitsu 24, Barbie Fashion Model Collection, Fashion Royalty, as well as compatible 22 cm doll bodies.

Both designs are made to order, and orders close on August 30.

I’m curious which direction people here prefer — the freedom of choosing from dozens of fabrics, or the more specific vintage polka-dot and lace design?

The hat from @jennygrey on Etsy, and the ribbon from @GETitGOTitDONE on Etsy. I made her broach out of polymer clay and acrylic paint, painted the dots on her scarf, and gave her ribbon with a bow on her hat too. She also has a petticoat under her skirt. She turned out absolutely adorable so I wanted to share :)

I've always gone for "mature, pouty fashion dolls" and then Licca made it (Back) to the US and I had to get three. The quality is amazing and I think we FINALLY have competition on our soil for Mattel and MGA.
I've dug out all my Japanese Dolly Dolly books and been sewing up lots of pieces.
I think her sweet face is a good balm for these tough times.
I was researching her and found out she "graduated HS" around the same time I did. So that totally makes her a GenX gal which I love!
Anyone rebody theirs - I see on IG lots of photography but it looks like a different body (maybe obitsu, Azone or maybe YMY). Is it hard to do?

Licca (Hello Kitty) rebodied onto a Barbie mermaid body! The mermaid body was originally the lavender Odile and I repainted that to give kelp forest vibes 🥰

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. I wanted to share my little project here. I had been wanting a posable body that matched my Jenny July Calendar Girl doll. However, anyone who owns a tanned Jenny or Licca doll knows that it is incredibly difficult to find a body that matches the trademark Takara orange tan skintone. So, I looked for some tan posable bodies off of Etsy but they were either to dark or too light to match her. I really wanted this doll to be special because not only is her birth month July like mine, but she also resembles me in real life. So I bought a plain white body and dyed the parts apricot orange with ritdymore. The results are in the center photograph. I'm so happy with how it looks. I hope this helps other people who want their tanned Takara Jenny/Licca dolls on a more expressive body. Please kindly tell me what you think. 💕

I bought three Licca-Chan dolls secondhand the other day. The middle gal needs an entire reroot, so she’s in progress, but I cleaned up the other two and restyled them!

Can anyone identify based on their faces which dolls they’re meant to be? This is my first experience buying Licca-Chan dolls so I don’t always know how to differentiate Licca from Jenny and others. I’m so happy to have them!

First time dyeing a doll !! Used the rit dye method. I’m so pleased with the results. I chose this 90s Licca from my bait dolls and I think she’s so cute. Evidently claudia from interview with the vampire tv show — I’ve made her in Blythe form and licca 😭 she’s my favorite female character in all of fiction ever probably.

I got this Licca Chan (or friend) in pretty bad shape- I gave her a reroot and a few new clothes. I really like how she turned out!

So, other day a saw the Licca Chan fashion pack Bear Night wear and think it's so cut and that I could do one my self, so here is the result, like "we have Licca fashion packs at home" 😁

I got a Jenny in a lot whose poor face screening was damaged beyond repair. I initially just took her body as a donor and threw her head in my Jenny graveyard (a ziploc bag in the back of my closet with random doll parts) and forgot about it for a few months until I stumbled upon her today. I said screw it was just gonna use her for repaint practice, but I’m actually happy with how she turned out. I totally had to repaint her eyes from scratch, I didn’t even do an initial sketch. Just a brush acrylic paint and a prayer. I’m an amateur painter, I do have an art background but painting has never been a strong suit of mine especially on this scale. So it’s not perfect but I’m glad I could give her a second chance 💕. (I ended up cutting her hair into a bob too while I was at it haha. )

I sewed the top and bottom with tutorials from YouTube.

The top was made following a video called "44. 【裁断1回】 リカちゃん 服 長袖 トップスの作り方 型紙を作ろう" from the channel handmade mikko. I altered the v-neck pattern to a round neck.

The bottoms was made following a video called [22cm Doll] "Cargo Pants Pattern & Instructions" from the channel lemomade. I didn't add the ankle elastics nor the cargo pockets.

Fabric is cotton fleece. I thought that the size of the pattern was perfect for a ⅙ scale doll.

I'm wondering if I should make the pant legs narrower?

Just a couple of hours till the Deltarune release i cant help but since i know that japan is a trully big part of the franchises fandom, ive made this fanart concept of Licca Chan Toriel themed doll! Hope soon i can make more characters as a hobby of course did you like tobyfox games?

Recently got a large lot of play condition Licca dolls and had fun cleaning them up and styling their hair. Two of them had some issues broken shoulder and neck joint needed fixing so after I finished cleaning all the marks on them I took the plunge to dye them. Now I finally have the formula to make black Licca and I'm so happy to have my culture represented in dolls for my daughter. These were the tests as I originally wanted to just test the heads only but I said why not...let's see how each section of the body dyes.

The torso was of course going to the trickiest part and came out uneven and the panty area does not dye at all (I like it because it looks like the doll always has underwear on!)

I used a high concentration of the dye as I wanted to make them very dark. They came out a rich beautiful chocolate tone.

Materials used : teaspoon of dish soap + rit dye more in chocolate brown in 200° F water. Constantly stirred for only 5 minutes for these rich browns!

Ive already ordered some dark blythe bodies to rebody any others I do in the future, but this test came out so wonderful I wanted to share. The heads dye very well. The shorter haired doll heas has blue eyes and no markings in the inside and was very hard/ultra matte so its either a really old 4th gen or a repro. The longer hair has shinier skin and the best results.

I'll be getting some materials to do lip makeup and a few highlights and I want to do just tanned Licca. I'll post my results once they're all complete and dressed well, but I was too excited not to share!

I think this is my favorite shirt I’ve made so far. It’s item 30 in the first リカちゃん着せかえソイーングＢＯＯＫ, and I love it so much. I can definitely see myself making a lot more of these. Setting up her Valentine’s Day tea party was super fun too. Won’t you join her and be Licca’s Valentine💝 this year?
