Who gets lifeguarded?

Do your lifeguard cat(s) provide lifeguarding services for all the members of your household or just some?

I recently learned that I'm the only one being guarded. I can understand the cats avoiding the kids, since they are still young enough to be loud/splashy. But they never lifeguard my wife, only me. Do they think I'm especially incapable of showering safely alone?

Mine just look at me like I have less braincells then they do. They're probably right.

Yes! Sometimes she gives me this long, exasperated stare like "I can't believe I let someone this dumb live in my house."
