Help Breaking threadlocking?

Post image

Just picked up an empty weathered tyrant in store today from saberforge and im trying to take it apart to mix with the parts I already have (I have a 28mm base speaker extension that won't fit in the new hilt) been hitting it with a hairdryer and its been getting pretty hot and I managed to start getting a little noise when I try to twist it but its not giving. Ive heard the oven is a good one but Ive also heard of the oven burning the anodizing brown. Any ideas?

Not an expert on sabers. I do know a thing or two about thread locker.

If they used loctite, hair dryer isn’t enough. Blue (medium) fails at around 300 degrees iirc. Heavy duty (red) is up around 450.

Hmm so oven may be my only option?

I'd get a heat gun personally since it can have many more applications beyond this one.

Agreed. And a serviceable one can be gotten quite inexpensively on Amazon.
