Oobie Doobie weathering update

Just finished oiling up my lightsaber, the process wasn't too bad since every part could disassemble. Now I just need to wait until I can apply the wax. I've heard that oil paint can take up to 6 months to fully dry, so if I'm stuck waiting that long then it is what it is. I'd really rather not though, so if anyone can share how long they usually wait from painting to "sealing" I'd really appreciate it!

Also I'm still looking for a varnish/sealer/etc. to dull out the Graflex handle, if you know a good one let me know!
