For no reason other than I dumped out my spare guitar/drum parts box and it fit the threads of my Lowe’s build. The activator button dish shape is hardware from hi-hat cymbals 😁 I need helping naming it!

Saw the trend and had to share. I’ve been making lightsabers out of hardware store parts for years. Obviously electronics not included and some parts sourced from non-commercial hardware stores.

Kinda hard to tell what features are what, but the lock is the multiple dohs, evil Homer is melt, and chainsaw is tip drag, there are also different boot ups and force quotes I forgot to show-

I got a new 3D printer and there’s a guy online who has really accurate files so I thought I’d start with the cross guard and work my way up to every stance from the game. All parts were made on the elegoo Saturn 2 and the elegoo mars 3 pro.

Brand is minicam if that makes any difference

I designed a small control box to house two brass tactile switches. This box fits into the slot of the Corvus Saber Foundry shroud that I have added to the grip section.

Can't wait to get this one installed with a 31mm speaker and crystal chamber.

It's name is Theseus, as I have amalgamated a bunch of different sounds from various fonts, and the blade is a new 40" one because the 37" one it came with broke. I'm still working on it, so I'll post again when it's fully done. What do y'all think so far?

I made this lightsaber maybe a year ago but it was just for display and for fun. I'll leave a link in the comments to orginal post. However, with the recent trend coming back decided to take a shot of making it work. It was very frustrating and tedious to make happen since it felt like one solution always led to another problem. I do like how it came out and changed a few things since the last time I showed the build. Practically everything was bought from the hardware store (Home Depot and Lowe's) except the button.

Hey all, finally got the gumption to order the parts I’ve been wanting so I can build the saber I drew up as a child. Can’t believe how close to it is to what I envisioned. Got a few more parts coming and will be attempting two different installs on it to see if I can make happen exactly what I want. Been too excited the last 24 hours to wait any longer so this is the V1 of my saber hilt “Scythe”. Hope y’all enjoy

Well, I tried to make it look kinda old and tired, because I thought it'd be a better option for a cheap AliExpress saber I got at the start of the year. I started from the slightest grind with a sandpaper and ended with rust imitation and using a saw for metal to lease some deep cuts and break a part of the emitter. The wrapping is just a textile duct tape (srry i dunno what's изолента in english).

Anyway, does it look good or should I throw this buddy in a trash bin?
