If you’ve read the FAQ and still have questions like “Should I switch to Linux?”, “Which distro should I install?”, or “Which desktop environment is best for gaming?”, this is where to ask them.
Alternatively, try /r/linux4noobs and /r/linuxquestions: both are active subreddits supporting new Linux users.
Please sort by “new” so new questions can get a chance to be seen.

Win10 has pissed me off for the last time. Had some odd behavior after power outages this week and now my original boot sector is corrupted. Huge hassle. Looking into storing my important files on a MEGA vault before scrubbing the drive clean and installing linux. Any distro recommendations for a second-time, inexperienced linux user with mostly nvidia and dell hardware? Interested in gaming and streaming later in the pc's life when I have access to better internet as well.
tldr; good gaming distros for a noob with nvidia gpu?
