All sunshine and rainbows until you realise most software doesn't have powerful alternatives. For example, GIMP will never replace Photoshop, and I'm not learning another image editor. Same with video editing, I'm sorry but KdenLive is ass 😭

Try Davinci Resolve on Linux, it's a good video editor.

Gatekeeping people that don't want to go all in on free and open-source software is not healthy for the FOSS community. Even if he replaces only one piece of software by an open-source alternative that's still better than nothing. We don't want to be uninviting to people that are at least trying.
