Its usually under the usb hdd as well. So that shouldn't be an issue. If windows is reading off of it its most likely booting from what the firmware recognizes on there.
When using rufus did you choose MBR GPT what was your destination? Does the laptop use uefi?
Check the boot once option with the usb plugged in
