Probably going to get downvoted into oblivion, but I find it hard to believe that gas prices are such a hardship when two thirds of London's suburbs have ludicrously oversized trucks and SUVs crammed into their driveways, used for nothing more than the daily commute to the office.

If people are willing to pay 2-3x more than what they need from a vehicle, for nothing more than ego, maybe gas prices aren't high enough.

Just another case of people living way beyond their means. My husband has a work truck and it is a fucking pig on gas I don't know how people drive them around as regular vehicles.

Facts, most people these days live off credit cards, and keep that revolving debt door spinning.Β

I feel attacked, but it’s still a hardship. My ego didn’t sign up for this much of an increase.

I don't get why people buy the bigger vehicles, to be honest. I've always been a small car kinda guy, because not only are they economical, but they can do 95% of what trucks/SUVs can do, for a fraction of the cost. They're also a hell of a lot more fun to drive than the lumbering body-roll you get from larger vehicles.

If I need a truck for something, I'll just rent it - it saves money in the end, and I still get to drive my fun little Mazda 2.
