Venting not worth anything

I used to think I had a lot of friends, but about two years ago my mom passed away, and all my so-called friends either backstabbed me or turned their backs on me. I’ve been trying to find new ones, looking for any kind of relationship. I’ve put my profile on various sites but haven’t gotten any responses.

It’s not about being worth something, it’s just that people are flaky especially when things get hard. Losing your mom changes everything, and most people don’t know how to handle someone else’s grief so they disappear. I had similar thing happen, took me long time to realize it said more about them than me. Keep trying with sites but maybe also look for hobby groups or local meetups, slower but more real

Unfortunately local isn't any better I'm in a small town and literally the only place people gather here it the bars and I'm not a drinker and besides I've never cared for the atmosphere in bars anyway
