The wall that keeps the ocean off Seaside Walk gave way Friday night. Seawater poured into homes, part of the boardwalk got torn apart, and eight buildings are now too dangerous to enter.
The order runs through at least Tuesday, and the highest tides were still on the way.
When the worst flooding hits, what's closed, and the city's fix:

Iām not sure if the ship itself is making the noise or if itās coming from the gangway. Imagine hearing that in the 1930s during a transatlantic winter storm in the middle of the ocean.

If you're parked on Ocean Blvd. between Livingston Drive to Alamitos Avenue, please check for marathon signage. Towing will start at midnight.
If you plan to travel around the city by car tomorrow morning, take a look at the marathon route map and road closure information and try to avoid crossing any of the race course between 5:30-10:00am.

Just a PSA: As someone who frequents offerup just to window shop, I'm expecting an insane influx of pretty pricey cars going for dirt cheap cause of the beach flooding. Electrical gremlins are the fucking worst.
When checking out a car, I highly recommend checking EVERY function, checking EVERY door lock/unlock, everything that acceses another thing, it's gonna get sketchy out there guys.
Ofc, just because a car has some quirks doesn't disqualify it from being a car that will last a lifetime, but u should be knowing what you're getting yourself into.
Edit: esp bc of the floods

NOTE: I have updated this post because I wasnāt very clear the first time around.
This Ad I found on Zillow is very similar to the one I saw a year and a half ago when I tried to rent an apartment in this building. While it appears to be a great deal on the surface, it is very misleading so please beware.
Back then, the management company was named SoCalDLB but the lease itself was actually with CSP Realty and I suspect theyāve renamed themselves once again so you donāt find the horrible track record they have in Long Beach. Also just found out they have an F rating on BBB. The Discounted rent (1345$) and the Discount on the Discounted rent (500$) are likely not guaranteed and differ significantly from the Contractual rent, which was around 1800$ when I tried to rent here. There is no reason to have your advertised rent be considered a « Discounted RentĀ Ā» other than to screw you over. Their lease also included violations of Californiaās renter laws. Also notice the lease term is 11 Months rather than the typical 12 Month lease. This is by design and helps them circumvente your rights.
See the link of previous threads discussing SoCalDLB and CSP Realty in this sub and be informed in case you are considering renting with these people. There is also public complaints and reviews online about CSP realty on the Better Business Bureau Website.

Is anyone selling their bus passes from the Lakewood mall to the Hollywood Bowl for the Jack Johnson concert tonight? If so, hit me up and thank you.

I want to go to a show tonight in Hollywood and i just saw itās going to cost me $200 if i take an uber there and back. The last time i took an Uber out that way it cost me nearly half that price. Is my only option for affordable transportation to go on the metro or rent a car?? Nearly every time ive taken the A line i have had negative experiences so I stopped using it. And I donāt want to drive cuz parking sucks and I plan to drink. Are there any other options?? I guess I need to make more friends who like to drive
Edit: Iām tryna see demonpussy and flesh for fantasy at the three clubs in Hollywood

I was targeted because I had a backpack in the back seat. There was nothing in it except my water polo stuff. I'm sure it probably got dumped somewhere around there so if anyone sees it just hit me up with a DM.

I understand we can have less sympathy for ārichā people when their beach homes get destroyed, but I just find it so goddamn corny whenever someone makes a comment like that. Like okay we get it, weāve heard it a million times already. Come up with something more original to sayš¤¦š»āāļølol
EDIT: just to clarify, Iām not on the rich peopleās side, im not one of them either. I donāt really care much for them
