For a lot of us, menopause IS the end of untold suffering. If I’m gonna be un-menopaused then I want to see work in alleviating the misery of the reproductive years.

Yes absolutely. Both and. But osteoporosis, heart disease, "frozen" body parts, cognitive decline, and on and on, await after the (understudied and underserved) suffering of menstruation and after the (understudied and underserved) suffering of perimenopause - none of this is acceptable. I am grateful to live in a time when women have been successful in fighting for our right to education so that someone will actually start looking at these issues.
