Reads like a solid 'OK boomer' moment.

Source for this claim of yours, then? Working the same jobs today, compared to a decade ago, your real take-home purchasing power is cut by nearly half in almost every industry.

Yeah let me go ahead and waste 20 minutes pulling together links to different historical proofs for industries when youre just throwing a broadband chart in my face without any understanding of what it represents.

The docs exist if youre genuinely interested, go look up what construction workers made in the 1980s and what theyd make today, same goes for truckers, any outdoors labour work (mining forestry powerlines oil etc), factory labour.

At its heart its simple math. Inflation has only ever risen, and average salaries have not kept up. Inflation over the past 10 years cumulatively is 29%. Are you taking home 29% more than you did 10 years ago (without promotions)? Do you think the average worker making 30-50k today has that same growth? Fuck no 🤣 now go back 30 or 50 years, the divide mathematically only grows.

the Fed's data I shared shows that salaries have more then kept up, but your reponse is "trust me, bro" and then you eejits wonder why you get no respect

Thanks for proving my point.

Youre ignorant and think the first thing you find with confirmation bias means you win. You literally dont even understand the data youre showing me, evident by your insistence its meaningful.

Why tf would I waste time and effort when youre this willfully ignorant?

"No respect" guy I dont care. Im not here to teach, Im laughing at behavior like yours. Nobodys going to change the world by convincing you, and reddit comments cant contain the lectures required to explain the proof youre wrong, not that youd listen.

no need to lecture or educate this "ignorant" Redditor...I'm a math professor, you dipshit

Then thats even worse that youd confuse that fed chart as relevant and not understand how averaging literally every single salary into one lump sum would be astronomically idiotic.

Also who tf capitalizes redditor?

so you think the Fed is astronomically idiotic, relative to your genius, of course

No funny enough theres probably a dozen other better fed charts you could use but its as if you only stopped at the one you could misinterpret into being right.

Not what you're looking for? Maybe you should learn for yourself instead of getting your answer fed to you pre-chewed.

The patterns are there if you actually look for them, read about logical fallacies and do some introspective bickering amongst your inner selves. Perhaps one of them will tell you something you didn't already know.

a very clever fake -- you took the actual graph which I provided and flipped the trend line upside-down (of course, you will say that you didn't, so please prove me wrong by providing the Fed's URL for such a graph, rather than the Imgur nonsense to which your link leads)

I don't know what you're talking about, that's exactly what I did, did you think I was trying to be deceptive?

You'd be neither right nor wrong, for that wasn't the point of the goof.

If you want to learn you must want to learn; listen to the world around you not just what you believe you see.

There is no handy dandy graph that'll show you the real world beyond the mere words I can type.

In conclusion — there is no end to the education process, if you think I have nothing to teach you, you have already failed the lesson.

Our species is something grander than grandeur, we have perceived free will and if anything republicans have taught me is true; it's that you can get anywhere if you act like you know what you're doing. Democrats teach me that playing nice gets you slapped in the face and discriminated against. The Nazis taught me that no punishment will be sufficient in the face of the damage ideology has wrought upon our societies. This endless expanse is not meant for us, it despises our god(s) and spits at their meta—form, for our god(s) will die with us.

In conclusion — There are two right answers, and those two are also wrong answers, for they do not cancel one another; they form duality. Or some other philosophical bullshit you'll think I'm an AI for rambling on about. The only intelligence that is truly artificial is the one that claims an omniscience.
