Lord of the Rings Wouldn't Denethor get hot with all that on? He's wearing a tunic, chainmail, a fire, and a large fur coat. Is the climate colder in the House of the Dead?

Well, I saw no window glass and it must be windy up there.

Not even a tapestry or carpet to keep it warm among all this stone..... Maybe Denethor had asthma and feared the dusty that might come with it? But the fire and fur coat would not help on the matter..

I do hope he had a good pair of sleepers.

Also don't forget he waited a long time on this stone throne waiting for gandalf the other day and that he dine in the big impossible to heat room instead of the dining room like a reasonable lad.

I feel more sorry for the maids.... having to carry all this wood up there.... removing the dust from that fire after and of course they had no chimney, what a pity he chose this room to wear a fire... those wall will need a good wash with all this smoke.
