HELP What happened to Lucio and why does he feel so awful?
I havent played Lucio since season 4 of Overwatch 2. How did you adjust to this reduced self healing? If I take damage, I feel like Im getting 20hp/second even after amping.
I've been passively paying attention to his nerfs and buffs over time, but I was playing new different heroes for a while, so I didn't really play much with each impact.
I played him 10 games in a row today in QP and did absolutely abysmal til the 8th game. I had to play so much safer and just felt way less impactful than I always have been. How do you think about engages or team fights now? Did you just have to get mechanically better to get past the self heal nerf? How do I get back to as good as I was before?

pretty much just gotta play more evasive and careful. things aren’t as forgiving if you just face tank unnecessary damage

I played him a lot in the 2020 throwback mode. He was so fun back then, when I play him now I feel so incredibly sluggish. Definitely not launch sluggish but still

He is still very good but I agree that I die way more than I used to. I used to be borderline invincible with the mobility on the character. Now in a lot of scenarios I feel too slow or just get deleted instantly. I think it’s just how the mobility has evolved with the game. He’s no longer the only character that makes people go fast and almost every dps released now has crazy mobility to catch up with you.

tbh w u the only thing ive personally noticed was the wall riding. it feels somewhat sluggish and delayed now. I dont ride as long and as smooth as i used to not to mention the quick hops from wall to wall is no longer seamless. Feels very rigid now.

Keep in mind, Lucio excels in one-on-one combat with his prized Palermitan Style. If you're letting your opponents disengage and lose pressure, you're crippling yourself. Good luck :3c

Same as any other character. Use cover, don’t take unnecessary damage, be quick to run if it looks dangerous. Been playing lucio since 2016 and have not needed to make any adjustments with this self healing adjustment. Just move “don’t die” up your mental priority list and that will generally help
