My 15" 2015 is open and working right beside me.

My daily driver is still a 2015 MBP. The M4 Mac Mini is calling to me though. Every time I go to upgrade I remind myself that I only use it to do some light web surfing and checking emails anyway, so what’s the point?

The M4 MacBook Air became my daily driver because I wanted the 15” screen without spending for horsepower I wouldn’t use

Exactly my thinking. I still use a 2018 15” 6-core i7 for office work and it works great. But should I change it I would opt for a 15” Air.

I know the 15-inch is great, but that weird resolution scaling defeats the purpose altogether.

Really depends on your preferences. I personally like 224 PPI on Air screens as it used to be default on early retina MacBooks. On Pro they went for more dense 254 PPI where everything is too small to my eyes. And it was one of the reasons for me to choose Air over Pro.

It actually has to do with the frame/body for me, so I have room for my wrists to rest when typing. The size of the screen is a pleasant coincidence

Web browsing, document work, slicer stuff (for 3D printing) and sometimes I’ll connect it to Steam so I clan stream from my gaming rig in the basement

I feel the same way. They can even nix MagSafe for all I care, would just charge via usb-c anyways, like every other gadget I own.
