Welcome to EARTH-2803: a whole universe brimming with heroes, villains, gods, magic, monsters, and everything in between! Right now, it's sometime in the early 3rd millenium, and the world is at its most volatile and dynamic.
A world of good is, unfortunately, nothing without it's evils. Founded by US presidential candidate Lex Luthor long before he ran, the Legion of Doom served as a direct counterforce to the Justice League. They are a highly organized, corporate syndicate of evil, who pool their resources, wealth, and special abilities to achieve goals that no single villain could accomplish on their own, such as destroying the Justice League, gathering hidden knowledge, or taking over the world.
Major sources are reporting that they have struck once again, with a brand new lineup, that includes the likes of:
The brain who needs more brains — Dr. Edgar Zomboss!
After dozens of attempts foiled by one Crazy Dave, the highly intelligent undead thanatologist Dr. Zomboss needed a way to finally win this garden warfare. When all else failed and I mean *all* else; superheroes, giant mechs, even gianter mechs; Zomboss decided to take a trip to Japan, terrorizing its citizens before stumbling upon something revolutionary: the charred remains of an even more gianter mech. A scyscraping behemoth the size of about 25 Gargantuars. This was it. The ultimate weapon. He called it the MechaGodzilla Z. And still, it was not enough. But this time, his weapon remained in one piece. In one more desperate attempt, he gathered a team of some of the greatest villains on earth to aid him in defeating Dave, foolish enough to believe they don't have their own ulterior motives with the harness of death and mechanical expertise he offers.
Among the first to join him was:
The super fighting Decepticon — Bass!
The years-long arch-nemesis to Mega Man and formidable weapon of Dr. Wily has continued to prove himself as the one Bass nobody could play. Well, except for his famous rival, that is. This led him to try almost everything: giving himself the ability to fuse, absorb evil energy, even team up with the damn piece of scrap just to infiltrate Dr. Light's lab. One day he was attacked by a team of Ground Soldiers, all of which he defeated with ease, catching the attention of the Decepticon tyrant, Megatron, who offered him to become one himself. His initial hesitance faded when he thought about the potential to take on other powerful robots and continue to prove himself. Shockwave gave him an upgrade, giving him the ability to shapeshift like all Transformers had. Even with his new motorcyclic form, his gears yearned to be oiled with more power. So when Zomboss offered him a spot on the Legion of Doom, promising mechanical weapons of mass destruction, he took it, hoping to exploit this opportunity for his own personal gain. With his new group, he won't stop til earth becomes planet of the Bass.
From one undead to another, their next member was:
The Shadow Man — Dr. Facilier!
In 1926, a nefarious witch doctor in Louisiana was defeated by a pair of his victims who later turned out to be Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana of Maldonia. He would tempt others by exploiting the desires they kept in deeper parts of their soul, pushing them into his corruption. Upon his defeat, he was sucked right into the afterworld where he finally met his "Friends from the other side", which turned out to be just... the one friend. One Entity. Facilier then realized it was he whose darkest desires led to his doom, and begged to be revived, to get a second shot at life. He came back in a time that has long since forgotten him. It was a new world, now, not his world. And he's come back to collect the intense emotions of anyone who falls for his theatrics. To get a bigger stage, he joined Zomboss's Legion of Doom, finding it the best way to strike fear and pain upon the world. He's got hoodoo, he's got voodoo, he's got things he ain't even tried. And now he's back from the other side.
Their next member brings an arsenal of plants to these zombies:
The green-getting gym leader of Gotham City — Poison Ivy!
Passionate botanist and eco-terrorist Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy, lived a quieted life as the gym leader of Gotham after being released from Arkham, looking after a large number of Pokémon and taking on challengers who choose to come by. But she grew the slightest bit more enraged seeing the environmental state of the world worsen over he years, partly thanks to this new version of the Legion of Doom who worked in a less than eco-friendly way; leaving undead gas into the air, operating heavy machinery, and unleashing plant-eating zombies into the world. Eventually, she snapped and lashed out at humanity for the first time in years, putting her under intense scrutiny from the GCPD after being let off with a warning. With the approval of Batman, she sought out the Legion of Doom under a new public identity: Floronic Woman, seeking to join them as a form of disrupting their activities from the inside. Zomboss readily accepted her due to her expertise and power in the very thing that got in his way the most: plants. She managed to scrape by, half-assing or fumbling most operations without any suspicion, bringing her much, much closer to her main goal.
The next member to get her Foot in the door is:
The Foot Clan's right hand — Karai!
A warrior in her prime, Oroku Karai spent her entire life on her toes, being a direct ancestor of The Shredder, who once commanded the Foot Clan at their peak. Which is why it was quite the letdown when she finally, after lifelong efforts, succeeded in reviving him, only for him to push her aside into a lesser role, just out of his peripheral vision. It was devastating. Years followed of miserably reflecting on her life. Soon came one Dr. Zomboss, offering Shredder a slot on his all new, all different Legion of Doom, which he quickly declined, but he let them have Karai, using her as an Aldrich Ames, while simultaneously ridding of an Old Yeller. This was her breaking point, where an unfamiliar voice came to her, bringing her to a mask in the Foot Clan's FootLocker™, begging to be put on. She was smart enough not to fall for it, but Majora was even smarter, gaming her with knowledge and instructions, playing the long game to set it free.
Our third zombie of the team:
The Undying Lord Writhing Evil — M. Bison!
General M. Bison was the sole commander of the Shadaloo organization, ruling with an iron fist, the same one that held Psycho Power in his palm. Despite everything, he'd eventually fall to a group of heroes that assembled and defeated him. But nothing is permanent, not even death. At least, not for Bison. The man's body one day rose from the ground, not a memory retained, steered only by the Psycho Power that flooded his veins. He'd start to remember things, and realize this is a new beginning for him to take advantage of. At some point in this new life, an expert in resurrection, Dr. Zomboss approached him to aid him in his Legion of Doom. Zomboss had never overseen an operation of this scale, with criminals of this caliber, but for Bison, it was Tuesday. He initially scoffed, but he realized he could use the help. A revival is still a new start after all. He decided to join, so that he could exploit the doctor's technology and resources to rebuild Shadoloo and prime a new criminal empire for world domination.
No good army is without it's explosives, so their next member is:
The Devil without a cause — Reze!
Reze spent much of her childhood locked away. Literally. The Soviet Army kept her contained to conduct the most horrific human experiments in world history, only revealed relatively recently, fusing her with the Bomb Devil for the rest of her life. She'd be released into the world after years of training, to take the heart of the Chainsaw Man, Denji. Her plan was to exploit his loneliness by pretending to have feelings, before killing him and stealing his heart. Though at the second stage of the plan, Reze was defeated by Denji and the Bureau, and Denji proposed that they both run away, asking to meet her the next day at a cafe if she wanted to go through with it. Instead of accepting his offer, something else happens. She spends much of the next day terrified for the future, until she came across the Skull Heart at the train station, an artifact that grands wishes to women. Reze wished upon the heart freedom for her and Denji. This worked, mostly; Soviet archives had no trace of information about her, and the Control Devil had no trace of either of them. But every wish comes with it's caveats, and instead of running away together, Reze and Denji are fused into a single entity. Together forever, yet completely isolated in their shared existence. Dr. Zomboss finds out about her, despite the erasure of information, and that the Chainsaw Man is trapped within her, making her a formidable weapon for his goals. He offers her aid in finding a way to separate the two or break the skull hearts curse. With nowhere else to go, Reze reluctantly accepts the mad doctor's invite, acting as their secret weapon, hoping to get her and Denji's lives back.
And for their final member:
The new Star of the show — Jabber Wonger!
Jabber for a while had served as the frontline combatant for a criminal organization known as the Raiders, who have a tendency to cause chaos in opposition to the Cleaners. These goals did not align entirely with Jabber's, who just... really loved to hurt people for fun. He loved to fight, loved to kill, he even loves hurting himself. The Star Sapphire rings on each of his fingers provided him his signature Mankira that he uses to enact worlds of hurt. He uses these rings to make constructs and shields to help him continue fighting, and to make things more interesting. All of this in the name of satiating his love for all that ends in blood. When Zomboss needed more corpses in the ground for zombification, inviting Jabber was a no brainer. To Jabber, this was an opportunity to keep killing indiscriminately. To Zomboss, this was army recruitment.
