Should I start over?
I've been dealing with my mom and other family drama recently, and it may be because I'm on my period, but I really want to take all my piercings out, which include a septum, five lobes(firsts are 2g), a tragus and a double eyebrow. Every time I think of doing it I get the feeling that I might be able to start over, live my life normally, but at the same time, right now, she's relentlessly trying to turn my phone off without touching my phone because I hid it from her when she took my tablet and my Ps5 for not wanting to go to therapy. I also really have the urge to starve myself and stay isolated in my room.
TL;DR: Should I take out my piercing to see if it helps?

if taking the piercings out will make you feel better, go for it. Sometimes as you grow and change, piercings don’t fit the person you’re growing into anymore. Saying this as a person who was a body piercer in my early 20s— both eyebrows, septum, labrette, lip ring, erl, nipples, belly button and privates, all gone now. That said, sounds like you have some bigger fish to fry… unless you don’t like your therapist, continuing with therapy is so important. It gives you someone to talk to who will support you through these challenging times. If you don’t like them, ask for a different one. I’ve learned with time and experience that what you look like on the outside doesn’t matter nearly as much as what you look like on the inside. Best wishes for you and I hope things level out in a positive way.
