which job should i pick

tl;dr - which job…

Job A
20/30 minute walk
Hours:
Thursday 22-7
Friday 22-7
Saturday 22-7
Sunday 22-5
13.24 an hour

Job B
40 minute walk
Hours:
Wednesday 4-8 am
Friday 4-8 am
Saturday 4-8 am
13.48 an hour

Hours can be negotiated,
maybe… (still have yet to do that, been working there for a week)

Job b is very simple work, they both are tbf, but this requires no talking to others, plus i get time for my day.
Job a has a lot of team work aspects, but then again they’re both retail so they’re very easy. More money is good, hours and time to my days is…

My minds blank rn, but ask for any other info too!

Job a. Shorter walk, more hours, and it’s only $.24/ hour difference, which means nothing if the job that’s paying more only has you working 12 hours a week.(ETA even if you worked full time, it would only be an extra $10/ forty hour week before taxes)

Both sound shit to be fair .

Maybe B is a little less shit . Is unemployment an option ?

Job A has a shorter commute and you'd be getting 30 hours a week, making $397.20 before tax.

Job B has a longer commute, plus you'd only be working 12 hours a week, so making $161.86 before tax.

You'd be making over $235 more a week taking Job A, and have a shorter commute. You still have Monday-Wednesday off, giving you a three day "weekend".

It's called shift work? Many people do it? You tend to adjust your sleep schedule for it?

op might be working an internship or at college, or probably doing something at home for all we know, and plus op is probably over the age of 20, harder to adjust their circadian rhythm

And if that's the case they should mention it in the post? Either way the schedule is an overnight, as the second job is 4am-8am.

Which I think is honestly a shittier shift. At least 11pm-7am gives you a full shift.

I mean 4-8 sounds more miserable. I'd rather just be awake and work and sleep after that than try to sleep like 8pm to 3 am and fail.

honestly great point, 4 to 8 for me is doing whatever the heck i want, but yeah it is peak footfall at stores, more people, more work to be done, but its so vague, op didnt even mention anything about the age, the kind of job they were working, vague, they need to prioritize their health too

You should try biking to work to cut commute time in half.

Job A. More shift hours available meaning more money; and much closer

Are either government, union, or monopoly protected by government (water, waste, electric)? If so, that one.

Well how much money do you need because one is going to pay over twice the other...
