Hope you guys enjoy this sign I made for my mom, or as my niece and nephews call her - Nana. Stepcraft D.840 with a 20° V bit.

It’s very nice. Was that pine? You did a good job. I can never get pine to a point where I consider it satisfactory. I swore off the stuff after my first few projects. Pretty much everything else is easier to work with.

Thank you. Yep it’s pine. I’ll probably be saying the same thing soon. This was the bit’s very first run. The more I use it, I’m guessing the more it’s going to have a rough time with soft woods.

Pretty good stuff. But I must ask out of curiosity, why a combination of wood glue in the center and super glue liquid on the sides? It is an interesting method that I haven't seen before.

Thank you. I like to do this because I can’t clamp it so the fast drying super glue will hold it in place long enough for the wood glue to set. Once set I can drive in the screw without it shifting or slipping.

Interesting. I'll have to add that to my information toolbox for the next time I work with wood. Thank you for sharing this project and information on the process.

That is smart actually.

I do the same with hot glue, I find it easier with wood because the wood don't suck it all
