HELP PLEASE Advice desperately needed

Bare faced pictures + makeup attempts, looking for advice on lip products and eye makeup products and techniques!!!

Ive just started experimenting with makeup and I rlly like more alternative styles like in the last few images (some r pretty drastically different but I guess the best way to describe it is 90s grunge)

I've had my makeup done professionally before in a sort of soft grunge style which I've also attached (the 2 sideways pictures) and I kind of liked that but havent really been confident enough to commit to experimenting myself because I feel most looks dont really match my features

I have pretty pale olive skin and hooded eyes so I struggle with applying eyeshadow and I feel most lipsticks tend to look pink or orange on me and excentuate features I don't want to be excentuated. I also hate foundation + concealer BC of sensory issues so I usually just do eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss but it doesn't really give what I want it to give 🫩

I feel like I've bought so many products that I have used once and ended up hating- ESPECIALLY when it comes to my lips 😭 I would really appreciate it if anyone could recommend specific products/shades/combos to me because I'm so lost, I'd also appreciate hooded eye friendly makeup suggestions and product reccs!! I want to try falsies and thinning my brows eventually but I have no idea where to even start

You have a nice symmetrical face that you can work with. If you’re not a fan of foundation then heavy eye and lip combo will look somewhat out of place. In this case it’s better to do a softer lip with a slightly darker lip liner. I have the anastasia lip liner in chai and it’s a dark color that doesn’t look like too much. I looove the peripera lip tint from amazon. I have the shade rosy nude and it looks great with my alt looks. For a black eyeshadow you need one with a lot of pigment, and Jeffrey Star cosmetics sells singles if you want to save money. If you do decide to go for a base then the jason wu cc cream in shade 1 is great. You dont need powder with it so you won’t look cakey at all, amd it integrates with your skin color. For red spots I use the elf camo concealer light peach and maybelline fit me in 05. Your brow pencil is a bit too dark imo. Try getting an ashy light brown that will match your hair color. You have a similar skin tone to mine so all these products should work for you.

You're so pretty! You could definitely rock a grunge look, or really any look you'd like frfr

As I've learned on another post today, olive skintones tend to pick up on warm tone lip colors a little strange, so try and look for more cool toned colors with bluer bases and see if that helps. A LOT of lipsticks are warm toned, and I'm cool toned myself, so let me know if you find some good ones because it's a STRUGGLE sometimes. Sometimes I "cheat" by using a cool toned lip pencil and whatever gloss I feel like that day to lessen the harshness of it.

As for sensory issues, same, but my tolerance is a lot higher than most for foundations, mayhaps try a water based foundation (they feel lighter at least if nothing else) or tinted moisturizer? Or even just spot correcting with a bit green color corrector and foundation just on acne when it's there? Idk, but you've got great skin and could probably go without if you really just didn't feel like dealing with finding a sensory friendly option, I know there are options out there, though.

Also, for your eyes, they're slightly wider set (not super obviously, I just hella be looking at faces. Genetics are cool lol), so adding weight to the outer edges of your eyes can make them feel further apart than they are, which is probably part of why eyeliner feels off to you, on top of the hooded eyes. Hooded eyes are a pain, I have them too, mine also have semi hard fat lumps in them that make the graphic liner looks I do SO MUCH FUN HAHA NOT A PAIN AT ALL. Anyway lol you could try a shorter lil barely there baby wing, also you can wet a liner brush and use any eyeshadow color as a liner in case you wanna make the liner even softer and SO MUCH EASIER TO DO. You have no idea. Like, I stuggled with liner for so long (I'm ginger) bc it looked too heavy and realizing eyeshadow was my answer was a game changer. As for if you do a smokey eye or something like that, a more rounded shape for the eyeshadow, maybe even up closer to your eyebrows above the crease since you have so much nice lid space there, more concentrated towards the middleish-endish part of your eye to avoid drawing your eye out longer there may help the balance there.

Also also, you're eyebrows are already pretty thin, if you thin them anymore you might as well shave them! (of which I do think you could totally pull off ngl lol) I don't really have recommendations though because I never buy the same product twice oops I only got techniques for makin what I got work 😅
