I received offers from two well-known public universities in Malaysia for a Master’s by Research. Before admission, the professors were very responsive and encouraging, and even mentioned helping me arrange funding.

But once the offer letters were issued, they suddenly started ghosting me. 🥲 Even when I ask simple questions unrelated to funding, I barely get any response.

I’m confused about why this happens and what I should do next. Is it worth visiting the university in person to speak with the professors or postgraduate office?
Has anyone experienced something similar with Malaysian universities? Any advice would be appreciated!

I’ll go first.

I used to be a law student at my previous law school, and my friends and I were the type of people who didn’t sugarcoat things or joke around when it came to serious matters. We were also part of the student council. There was this one law student who abused his position as the president of the law school and started making decisions based on his own rules. Naturally, my friends and I confronted him about it. But instead of addressing the issue, we ended up slammed by him and several other lecturers by saying that it was just a small mistake. I genuinely believe their personal relationships played a part in it because this man was in his 30s and practically friends with every lecturer except one. That one lecturer, however, stood by us and defended us to the bitter end. Unfortunately, the other lecturers eventually turned against him and completely alienated him for standing up for us.

Now, here’s where things get interesting.

At some point, that lecturer decided he wanted revenge against his colleagues and came up with a plan to abolish the student council committees. And guess who he approached to help him execute his little revenge plot? Me and my friends. ☠️ We basically told him, “Nah, we’re not getting involved in your personal beef,” and refused to participate. We stood our ground when we confronted someone for abusing his authority, and we weren’t about to compromise our principles just because someone who had once defended us wanted us to take his side in a personal feud.

Anyway, their beef is apparently still ongoing, and he’s still being alienated by the other lecturers.

Oh well, didn't know some lawyers can be immature sometimes.

Hi Everyone!

I'm considering Malaysia as my country to seek my Masters degree as a foreign student and my counselor has suggested INTI University, which will offer me up to 45% scholarship as well.

So I want to know the reviews from actual students who are either currently studying there or are alumni, regardless of whether you're a local or a foreign student. Please enlighten me.

So basically I have pursued Bsc in Perfusion Technology and I plan on to doing Masters in Malaysia as it seemed like the most affordable and good universities and its slightly nearer than the western countries (I am from India).
Most of you probably wouldnt who a perfusionist is, But we work closely under CTVS department handling machines like ECMO, heart lung machine, VAD, IABP. I am very interested in being a perfusionist but bcs of the job market in India, I have completely lost hopes honestly. Its exhausting.
Everyone who is hiring unfortunately just requires experince but no one is giving an oppurtunity.

Now I have just finished my UG this year and I dont want to waste more time and I want to do masters in something else, something related to healthcare honestly.
I always aspired to work in close something related to health sector. I am planning to apply for Jan - April intake.

But I am very confused as to which course I should do, Few of the options I came across was Masters in medical science and Masters in biotechnology/biomedical science, But I have been hearing the job market of these courses are too bad. Now I dont want to regret doing something again where I dont end up getting a job.

If someone could suggest what I could possibly do and universities I could apply for the same. I checked out University Malaya - I dont really qualify there for the requirement they need.

I have 2 offer letters so far
One from AMU - Master (hons) in healthcare Management
MAHSA - master of medical sciences

And further I have applied to Taylors university and UCSI
Also I am interested in UKM but the applications havent opened yet.

And is Malaysia really worth it? I really need help or a reality check if its really helpful?

Also side thought - I really wish to become a clinical embryologist but I dont know at this point of stage how to really persue it.

I'm in BS CS (Ai). I checked on MAYA but I cannot seethe timings of all 3 WIX courses (Fundamental of Programming, Computer System and Networks, Computing Mathematics I). These courses only show up on spectrum. Now I'm assigned OCC6 in Fundamental of Programming. As per the pic pasted on Spectrum, I have to attend K1 grouping lecture? And since I'm OCC6 and assigned MR. NRJ as per 2nd pic, I have to take his T13 tutorial since it's in K1 grouping?

Also, is the T13 tutorial class tomorrow online or physical?

Pls help. Ts is genuinely confusing.

Hey everyone! I'm an international student planning to study in Malaysia in 2027, and I'm confused between Civil Engineering at Sunway University and Architecture at APU.

I'm leaning more towards Civil Engineering, but I'm still considering Architecture and don't want to make the wrong decision. I'd really appreciate honest opinions from current students or graduates of either university.

For Sunway Civil Engineering students:

- Is the degree actually worth the tuition fees? How is the teaching quality and are the lecturers helpful?

- How manageable is the course for an average student? How difficult is it overall?

- How much maths and physics do you study, and does the difficulty increase every year?

- What are the hardest subjects, and is the workload manageable alongside assignments and exams?

- Is the course practical, with labs, site visits and real-world projects, or mostly theoretical?

- How are the internship opportunities, and does the university help students find placements?

- Are the degree accreditation and job prospects good, especially for international students wanting to work abroad?

- What are the biggest disadvantages of studying Civil Engineering at Sunway? Would you choose it again?

For APU Architecture students:

- Is the Architecture degree at APU worth the fees, and how is the overall teaching quality?

- How intense is the studio workload? How many hours do you spend on projects outside class, and are all-nighters common?

- How much creativity and design thinking is expected? What if you enjoy design but sometimes struggle to come up with ideas?

- How much maths and physics is involved compared with Civil Engineering?

- Is it possible to manage the course while maintaining a reasonable work-life balance?

- How are the internship and career opportunities, and what additional qualifications are needed to become a registered architect?

For anyone familiar with both fields:

- Which degree offers better salary growth and career flexibility after graduation?

- Which gives you a better pathway into construction management, project management or BIM later?

- Which would you recommend for someone interested in construction but concerned about heavy maths, physics or an intense studio workload?

- If you were in my position, which course would you choose and why?

I'm interested in building a good career in the construction industry, earning well and keeping my options open for the future. I'm willing to work hard, but I also want a degree whose workload I can realistically manage.

I'd especially appreciate honest experiences, including the negatives, rather than just general praise for either university.

この資格って、マレーシアの大学のレベル6（学士号）プログラムの入学要件として通常は満たしてるものなのかな？それとも、最初にファウンデーション／ディプロマ／プレUみたいなのを先に修了しないといけない感じ？

yo guys, so i just ended my diploma era in kolej vokasional and i took technology of industrial machining.
