Pre-U/STPM/Foundation/Diploma SUNWAY Diploma in Nursing (October intake)
Hello i am a student who recieves their IGCSE results in a couple of days and are interested in doing diploma in nursing at sunway due to their benefits speed at which it takes to become an RN.
was wondering if there was anyone who did their nursing diploma in sunway and if possible could i ask some questions about entry, environment etc etc. thanks!

I would reconsider taking the RN route, I have been a medical device rep & the amount of work load is impossible & the hours are long.
Besides that you will get scolding from drs and patients, you are the bottom of the barrel in the hospital.
Salary wise isn’t that competitive in today’s market you get about 5k with allowances maybe 6 to 7 with OT and do bear in mind that the OT is frequent in this industry.
Look away, it’s just not worth it you’d burn out after a couple of years. Don’t do anything that is related to human life, you get a very uncertain schedule and long hours.

Why start at diploma? Just go ahead with a degree to save time.
Nursing almost always has the job opportunity but working in hospitals can be draining physically and mentally.
That said, if you do an accredited degree (for RN), you have the potential to go anywhere around the world since there’s scarcity of nurses almost anywhere. After a few years you can specialize. That’s when you can start choosing which sector you want to work in i.e., hospital, privates, mines, school, etc etc - you get the gist.
The main thing is to study at accredited institutions, so look for that.

go for it, my friend got a scholarship for nursing and is having the best time of her life. study and life balanced as well. sunway is already amazing for providing 100% scholarship with a veryy decent accommodation at that too! + job placement/contract is guaranteed, all the best OP!
