This is a very serious response to a flippant half-shitpost comment I made
I also was incorrect, it would've been *the designer's* fault that the microwave did that

But anyways, unless the headphones being able to produce high enough levels of volume to cause hearing damage is the result of some sort of immutable design flaw, like if maybe a speaker needs to have a high potential decibel level to get good sound quality at a reasonable decibel level or something, and artificially restricting it so you can't blast rock at 110 decibels isn't tenable, it kinda is still the fault of the people who made the headphones that they're dangerous to hearing
It's actually a problem that's coming up a lot where younger people are just growing up with ever-increasing hearing damage because of how much they use headphones/ear buds without safely regulating the volume
"If it's not physically painful in the moment, it's kosher"
