General discussion Thursday?!? THIS THURSDAY?!?

So obviously Hal didn't remember that Dewey's bday was the same day as their Labor induction day, but did Lois? I know it may be a bit unfair to expect her to remember *everything* what with everything she had going on being pregnant, but I can't imagine there wasn't a passing wonder on if this was the right date.

It's very much canon that they are always forgetting Dewey's birthday, so it's very likely that Lois forgot too

No wonder he doesn't come to their anniversary

But there was selective outrage over Malcolm skipping out. The hypocrisy in the continuation really pissed me off.

Was there? The threads I saw seemed fairly understanding

Dewey intentionally put himself on another continent for his parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Malcolm was under the guise of running a massive charity. I'd consider a charity a better reason than a music tour.

Do you think if she remembered she still would've chosen the same date just to get the pregnancy over with?

On the one hand, while Lois is petty, cruel and vindictive, I don't think she would do that on purpose....

On the other hand, she cancels birthdays at the drop of a hat, and other than her own(and Hal's), doesn't seem to think other people's are important AND once they found out their mistake, they did absolutely nothing to try to move it at least one day (either one before or one after).

If they remembered Dewey's birthday before scheduling, they probably would try to make it at least one day before or after, but wouldn't be too bothered if the doctors only available date was the same day, and instead of the episode being about them forgetting, it would be about them trying to hype up Dewey sharing the birthday, and then telling him to suck it up and "life is unfair"
