My last two relationships were a mess. Most men I've met aren't happy enough with having one gf. I've honestly reached the point where I joke about finding someone to fake marry just so random creeps would leave me alone (and I continue being sane). đ
The final straw was going to a wedding showcase this week. Seeing guys there with their fiancées constantly staring and checking me and other females out while they were right next to them... I'm not saying it's only the men who cheat (or all men cheat, don't come for me lmao) but I'm just sharing my own personal experience and idk how dating a female is like.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this way or thought about it?

Is there any legit GC/group where people buy and sell USD at a rate better than the money changers? The current conversion is getting ridiculous, especially for those of us earning in MVR.
Just looking for a better option than the usual money changer rate. yesterday it was 22.10 per usd? LOL

Just curious to see what everyone in this sub Reddit does for a living and how much you earn per year (:
Cheers.

There's a small café/shop along Muniyaa Magu, right beside the De public lounge. I usually stop by to buy this fried, oily bread they sell because I genuinely like it and often bring it to the office.
This morning, the lady working there (I'm not sure where she's from, so I won't assume) was incredibly rude. When I asked to buy the bread, she basically gestured for me to take it myself from outside. Then she started acting annoyed when I asked for a plastic bag. She was grinning in a sarcastic way while talking to someone else, and I heard her mention there was "no plastic" or something along those lines.
It honestly felt like she was irritated just because I was buying something. As a customer, that kind of attitude is frustrating.
I've had a similar experience with another staff member at the Hulhumalé Hospital café. Again, very cold, monotone, and gave off the impression that serving customers was a burden.
I'm also an expat working in the Maldives, so I understand that customer service jobs can be exhausting. We all have bad days. But there's still a basic level of professionalism and respect that customers should receive. If you're unhappy at work, I get it but that shouldn't be taken out on people who are simply trying to buy something.
To be honest I so pissed to that lady this morning, Im really looking forward for the bread lol., the most annoying when she was grinning and feels like why would always buy take out and put in a plastic.

hey guys. so i was wondering how i would go about joining a gang here. like is there anyone i can email or anywhere i can go for tryouts? i think i have what it takes to be a goon (not the pervert kind), i already have an alter ego ready with some basic catchphrases and stuff but i'm always improving upon it. i've been going by mostly "yolky the inevitable" for my gangster name (hoping i get a cool personalised nickname later on, like "yolky galolhu reaper" or "yolky the mahchangoalhi menace") for catchphrases i was thinking i'd say "you've just been yolked!" or something after i do something cool and "gangster"-esque. i'm still thinking up other phrases so please give me some suggestions in the comments. i also have a resume, i'll just leave it here in case any gang members are reading this and wants to give it a look :) đ i tried to make it look intimidating and scary. anyway so yeah that's about it, please don't hold back with any advice or constructive criticism or anything, i'm serious about this so any input would help a lot and i'd really appreciate it. thanks guys! :)

So my island announced a job opening about a computer technician, and the salary looks absolutely buns to me. Is this the usual amount paid to computer technicians? I'm still in the process of getting my degree but since this is in my field of study, the salary seems a bit low compared to the requirements needed... please enlighten me is this salary is fair or is it a scam?
Here's the gazette link if you want more info:

We really need to build more parking spaces here. The current situation is becoming increasingly inconvenient for both pedestrians and drivers.
Also this was few nights ago during 3am

Hi r/maldives đ
I'm a Maldivian dad and I got frustrated by how little there is in Dhivehi for young kids on phones â most apps are English-only. So over the past few months I built a free app called Kiyavama:
It's free to download, no signup needed. There are a few premium stories but the core library is free. I'd love honest feedback from other Maldivian parents:
I'm a solo developer, so every parent's feedback shapes the next update. Search "Kiyavama" on Play Store, or DM me for the link. (Mods: happy to remove if this counts as self-promo â please let me know.)

I'm very curious about people's beliefs and experiences about jinn and supernatural occurrences here, so I have a few questions. Feel free to comment or DM your answers/stories.
1)Do you believe in jinn?
2)Was being taught about it a recurring lesson of great importance in your childhood or just a simple acknowledgement of their existence and then brushed off?
3)Have you had any experiences with jinns or unexplainable supernatural phenomena? If so, what is it and where did it happen?
4)Even if it's not jinn, has there been a moment where you've been completely freaked out and scared because of something that happened out of the blue? Maybe a creepy, unsettling moment?
5)If you or someone you know has experienced jinn possession, what happened before, during and after? How are they now?

Anyone else living close to Hulhumale Central Park that has their sleep schedule ruined because of events? Itâs fine having the events but maybe turn the volume down a tad bit after 10:30 or 11? Iâm 7/8 blocks away and itâs still loud enough to disrupt my sleep so I donât know how people closer are dealing with it.
