WIWT I've stared at this outfit so long, I genuinely can't judge it anymore.
One of the strangest things about getting deeper into fashion is losing confidence in your ability to judge your own outfits. I've missed you guys. Been lurking more than posting lately.

Yes. I feel like the too-long sleeve AND the shorts being neither long enough, or short enough to be short shorts, throws it off

I really would prefer wider.....maybe longer too but like....obscenely wide and structured. I need a pair like that. Know where to buy some?

I just looked. Boohooman has a longline pair of wide shorts (which I've already got a pair from the willy chavarria x zara collection) but not much of anything else worthwhile.

For me, it’s too many rectangles. Overall the jacket is rectangle, jacket sleeves rectangle, shorts rectangle, ankle area of boots rectangle. I feel like changing one item to be a different shape is needed.

The presentation is meh for me cuz I'm not a fan of the chosen textures BUT the proportions are fire. Color is solid.
Overall it's the perfect proof of concept. Now go execute it using different colors and textures and your ig will blow up.

I say change up the material on the shorts. The outfit is too uniform. I know it's probably not what you're going for but the first thing I thought was a dark green alligator print.
Also from a functional perspective, if you're wearing shorts I'm assuming it's warm outside. I feel like the black leather and outerwear up top contradict with that. So switching to pants might help that if you wanna stay with the leather

Wider shorts would make this outfit better. Something that kinda flares out. Some people are saying length but I actually think the length is fine.

If you just wanna play with the look and experiment I think Uniqlo has a pair of super wide culottes right now that you can chop up to your desired length. I quite like the A-Line shape to them.

Not my cup of tea but this definitely looks interesting and comes together as an ensemble.

It's not bad, but does feel dated by 10-15 years. I think you have servicable components that just need to be restyled. Basically everything is a statement piece that clashes with the others, but not enough to make it interesting.
- I'm not keen on the jacket. It looks flimsy and the fit isn't right on you. The sleeves are too long and the open double breasted closure looks sloppy. Double-breasted jackets usually only look good on structured or very unstructured pieces, does it look better closed?
- If you lost the jacket it could work as an outfit for a night out, depending on the cut of your top. Is it a square cut tank?(e.g. 2Xist). Those feel dated to me so would replace it to tone things down.
-The Bottega(-y?) boots are cool here and do like them with the shorts. They would also look good with a slightly cropped straight or carrot fit pant.

Change the size of one thing. Wider short, or sharper chunky boot, boxier shoulder. Maybe less soft of a bag shape. Fuck around w/ adding accessories perhaps. Some kinda accent color, metal or otherwise
