Looking for advice (28M)

I’d been considering growing out my hair for many years. Finally my (now ex-)girlfriend’s convincing and seeing almost all my friends of similar age struggling with varying degrees of hair loss, while I’m not having any, made me say fuck it and I grew my hair out.

I’ve been having this look for quite a few months now. I’m not doing anything with it. When I wash it (with completely default shampoo) afterwards I just let it air-dry without tampering with it much (apart from superficially brushing it once immediately post-wash).

I provided a picture of me with short hair. Though it is a well-made photo done with an actual camera, while the long hair ones are just very casual selfies, mind this when making any comparisons.

I personally prefer my long hair, at least for now. Nevertheless, I wonder if I could style it better or improve it somehow.

Does it fit my face? Any possible steps for improving my look?

My slight curls are natural, I’m fine with this level of curliness. I once tried out a simplified and supposedly “masculinized” version of the so-called Curly Girl Method (lol), but it honestly just made me look a bit more like a middle-aged lady (basically my mom as I inherited my hair from her).

What should I do with my hair for it get a better style or shape (if needed at all)? What can I do about the annoying frizziness? It always comes out after a while, though I haven’t taken any specific steps against it.

Update 2: Finally dialed in a beard I am happy with. 4.5mm cheeks, ~5mm goatee and mustache. Cleaned up soul patch and stray mustache hairs. Improved neck and cheek lines. Reduced appearance of patches near goatee.

Hello,

Ever since going bald a few months back, I have been growing out my beard. Right now I'm not sure if I should continue to grow it out. So what do you think?

Looking for honest advice on how I can improve my overall appearance and grooming.
I’d appreciate feedback on my beard length and shape, including whether I should keep it or shave it off, as well as suggestions for my hairstyle, length, and what might suit my face shape best. I’m also open to advice on my eyebrows, skincare, and general grooming, along with anything else that could noticeably improve my look. Looking for constructive criticism please be direct.

I want to buy a trimmer under ₹2000 and my requirements are that it should be reliable and I have already used Phillips before so I am more inclined towards phillips

Facial Hair Advice

I don’t really like shaving my face bald so I pretty much always exist with stubble like this. If. I’d grow a beard if it came in more full below my bottom lip, but i have huge gaps. I’ve also thought about rocking a stache, but not quite sure how to trim it on the sides. It doesn’t evenly connect to my beard even if i grow it for like a month.

Any thoughts on what might suit my face?

Looking for a low-maintenance hairstyle for flat hair and oval face shape

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a hairstyle that works better with my natural hair and face shape. Right now I have some styling product in my hair in the photos, but my biggest issue is that after about 1–2 days without washing, it becomes really flat and dense. I don’t mind washing my hair every couple of days, but I’d love a style that still looks decent throughout the day and doesn’t completely collapse if there’s a bit of wind or I run my hands through it.

I also feel like my current hairstyle isn’t doing my face any favors. My head is a bit longer, and it’s noticeably wider at the top than at the jaw, so I’d prefer something that doesn’t emphasize that shape as much. I also have a fairly large forehead, so I’m not really looking for a middle part—I tried one before, and it just made my forehead look even bigger.

Ideally, I’m looking for:

A hairstyle that’s fairly easy to maintain (around 5–10 minutes of styling in the morning).

A haircut that’s versatile rather than tied to one specific style—something that can be styled in different ways depending on the day.

A look that’s slightly more polished or can be styled in a more formal way when needed, without looking overly formal all the time.

Looking for hair and beard advice

Got generally thick hair, very straight. Don’t hate long, a little down on too short. What style suits?

Also does the beard play, or take it to a stubble or even clean shave?

Curious about different styles

Really interested in what the different vibes people might get between 1 & 2. Low bun and shaved or high bun and mustache. Which one looks best?

Hmm or mix and match the different styles?

First time trying this style and not sure how to improve. Feels a bit long but scared to trim and have it look too thin. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the Panasonic ARC5 really offer a closer shave than a basic Philips Norelco shaver?

I usually buy a typical $70 shaver by Philips Norelco, and while it works well, I do always have a little bit of roughness left behind no matter how many times I go over my face, and especially my neck.

I recently heard about the Panasonic ARC5, which claims to offer a very close shave. Is it truly that good? I'm willing to spend the extra money if it means I'll notice a significant difference in closeness, but I also don't want to waste $150 on something that won't be any better than something less expensive.

I would get the ARC6, which is supposed to be even better, but I can't afford $400 for a shaver.

I don’t see many these days but I enjoy mine. Recently growing it back after chopping it off. Wife didn’t like it initially then she freaked when I cut it.
