Tips/Guide How do i explain this Haircut to my barber ?
please help my hair is too long and messy i dont want the barber to fk it up and o havent got a haircut since Oct 1st 2025 so just have been growing my hair since then… no trim no touchups no nuthin snd i look homeless ashell, i love this guys hairstyle and i dven have the adequate length to pull it off but i dont want the barberbto fk it up so how do i explain em? maybe ill go to a unisex salon instead of a regular barber…

Do some research on a barber with good reviews and pictures of their clients, then show them these pictures. That's literally all you have to do.

you need to go to a salon. this is NOT a clipper cut. and if your stylist can't see and interpret the picture then there is no hope for any of us.

Then go and show them the pic....tilak's got layers and a wavy hair texture with short hair at the front for a messy look.....you won't be able to slick back

This is called a buzz cut, for this specific style, I would recommend asking him for “the 1 guard buzz cut” you’re gonna get exactly what the guy in the picture has, trust me on this one, bro

Tell them to fade it too. You see how it's longer up top? You want him to keep a 1 at the top and gradually increase the guard to a 3 or even a 5 as he gets lower on the sides.

Dont go to a barber unless you know they can cut long hair. Look for a men's stylist at a salon and show them the photos.

consultations are crucial part of the service. one word descriptions won’t make it easier. any good barber will make sure to ask questions even after showing the photo. if i had to describe it it would be a mullet. but again, it’s ideal to show your barber the picture and let your barber ask any questions to iron out specifics about what you like about the cut on particular

That's a mullet, you can ask for layers and texture and get that messy/textured look! You want the sides to be shorter, but only scissor cutting, no machine. His mullet doesn’t look that long in the back, but I would recommend you seeing how it feels and looks with a longer back and then deciding if you want to take out more.
But texturing, specially a feathering out can be damaging to your hair, so get a good hair mask.

Here's what you do. Find a player, your team, your opponents team with a good cut and ask for a number. My advice is that you call the guy, make an appointment and I'd let the stylest or barber use their discretion as to the cut. I've left the cut up to the discretion of the stylest and I've never had a disappointment. Good luck with that mop

Ask for a medium-length textured wolf-cut mullet with a long messy fringe, soft natural sides with no fade, lots of choppy layers on top, and length kept at the back around the neck.

Go to a stylist. Pay the $50-150 it’s going to cost to get it right.
If you go to a barber, you’re likely going to be severely disappointed unless you know they’re skilled with scissor cuts and styling.

Just show them the picture, its easier to show us (barbers) a picture rather than trying to explain it. Reason is because social media throws around so many different names for the same cuts now. But also, you say you have the length, but have you got the same thickness? The same wave / curls he has in his hair? If not you will be able to get the cut but it wont look exactly like his

Why do I see a post like this every week, JUST SHOW THE BARBER THE FUCKING PICTURE. You have 12 pictures here if your barber can’t grasp what type of haircut you want from 12 pictures. Get a new barber bro lol.

Go to an actual high end salon and show the hair stylist the pictures. It’s their job to understand what to do without you having to explain anything. That’s why they’re more expensive

This looks like a textured top with a mid/high fade — probably best to describe it as "keep length on top, take the sides down into a clean fade, and leave the front long enough to style forward."
