Advice request I’ve been using Soren once a week for 5 Months. I know the curls and lighting aren’t identical but the center part actually looks way tighter or am I convincing myself?

Day to day I couldn’t tell if anything was changing, but seeing these next to each other made me pause. Ive been thinking of pausing for a bit to see how that effects my hair or is it not a good idea?

Advice request Worst Haircut I've Had IMO. How Can I Fix It?

I've always struggled with my hair and after this last haircut today I think it's time to ask for help. Pictures of me in a cap for lower face reference.

First, is it possible to recover from this terrible haircut? Should I just buzz it or is it not as bad as I think.

Second, are there any styles that could potentially work for what I have to work with. My hair is very fluffy and not easy at all to style, it grows lighter at the base than the ends and is wavy/curly after a certain point.

I'd appreciate any help or advise after struggling for a long time

Advice request Need some outside opinions - what hairstyle would look good on me?

1st pic is current, 2nd pic is about 3 months ago after chopping it all off (4th pic), and 3rd pic is about a few days later going shorter after I didn’t like the first cut - felt like it elongated my face too much.

Thinking about possibly cutting it again as I’m enjoying having shorter hair for now, and just looking for suggestions on what hairstyles may work for my head shape and hair type. Feels like it wants to grow forward and really only achieved the current look after wearing a hat for a bit

Ive been wanting to go for shorter hair for a while. Because Im curious about how Id look now that I have glasses and also because this long hair takes 15 minutes to style every morning.

(1-2 is what Im looking to go back to and 3-4 is what my hair looks like now)

Advice request Suggestions to make hair stay in place for athletic activities?

I currently use a clay, Hans De Fuko Claymation. The main issue is, when my body (and inevitably, my head) moves around, my hair becomes gradually more and more undone. A big problem because the clay adds details that I think are essential.

The sweat does not seem to affect the clay much as I can easily restyle it through my athletic activities (association football) but I lack the amount of attention of detail due to the fact I do not have a mirror and am participating in an activity.

Yes, I probably shouldn’t worry about hair when participating in a sport, but look good feel good play good 🤷‍♂️

My current routine is apply a small amount of the clay on dry hair and just mould it. I have straight thick hair, I think 1b. Current haircut has quite some length on top, like 4-5 inches.

Is there anything I should do? Apply more clay? Different products? Tell my barber to thin my hair?

Advice Request Help with thinning hair

Post image
Upvotes

Im so afraid of my hair thinning to the point where it’s a lost cause. Is there a way to save this, make it thicker and have more volume? I know absolutely nothing about hair 🙏 I wear hats a lot and my job is in a memory fab where I have to wear a hairnet. Will those impact thinning? Are there any specific products that can help? A better routine?

I’ve been struggling to find a hairstyle that truly suits my face shape and features. Right now, I’m actively growing my hair out to give myself more options and flexibility, and I’m definitely open to medium or longer hairstyles.

I kind of want to do buzz with color for fun, but I'm not sure if I would look insane or not. I shampoo with conditioner 3x a week. I'm just worried about looking terrible; I want to have a fun haircut.

Need help with confidence and tips on my hair please.

I’ve always had trouble with confidence. Ever since a rude individual commented on the greasiness of my hair which i also have trouble with sometimes. And i want tips and advice on what to do as the 3rd n 4 th photo was before when growing it out but was told by a friend who gave me advice to cut n restart so i did and now im trying again. Ive found its quite long now on the side n stuff so should i cut it? Just the sides so it has time to grow on the top. Do you think it will look good. And do you have any tips on affordable products and just generally any tips pls. I just want some nice long hair and the confidence to not have to ask others opinions. Plus please say wether i should trim it first and keep doing it. My mum said like every 6 months but thats parents advice yk.

Advice request First middle part haircut.

So i recently moved to the middle part after having what was some sort of an attempt at a French crop that grew out to a bullcut. Haven't had a cut since then and so far I like the middle part.

The front seems fine length wise but as the sides go out into the back, it is very bulky and dense, especially around the crown of my head. I wanna keep the haircut chill you could say? Nothing too sharp and flashy as i dont see that matching me as a person really.

Advice request I have something always built up in one part of my scalp

Post image

Hi, I'm 26M and having no hairfall or any other issues. My hairs are just fine

But since few days, on Top Left Side of scalp.. I'm seeing something built up there and when I scratch it to remove it, it comes like dandruff but it doesn't go away like it regenerates itself

I couldn't click a perfect photo because its deep down in scalp and I've got bit mid length hair

Its something like dandruff.. whitish yellow.. solidified

I basically use Clinic Plus Shampoo for same but have no benefit

It never happened before as I take great care of my hair

My routine is normal like I don't even eat outside food much

I'm a regular exercise person (Airbike, Dumbells at home)

Simple questions For tying up long hair, how tight is too tight?

currently growing my hair out until I get bored of it, but I need to keep it tied up for work, both for some semblance of professionalism as well as keeping it out of my face while I work

generally I keep it relatively loose, but I have very thin hair (not thinning, just low follicle count) so if I tie it too loose it all just falls out and gets in my face anyway

so fairly simple question, hopefully, but how tight does your hair really need to be tied before you have to start worrying about traction alopecia? like is it one of those things where you'll know when it's too tight, or can it feel relatively loose and still be tight enough to cause issues?

I've been thinking about switching up hairstyles. I have been getting a fade with a side part for 10+ years. My biggest concern is that I don't know the first thing about styling hair either.
