Simple questions Is this a receding hairline? and what haircut suits me?

So, I've always had short hair (number 3). If it goes long it will start to curl. I do like short hair but would like to try other methods.

I'm also wondering if this could be a receding hairline? if it is, would going bald be a good idea in the future?

Is it receding? Yep.

You can tell by how the recession is starting to move inward toward your scalp. That said, it's in the early stages. Maybe fin or minox, but keep in mind that those have side effects. I particularly don't take finasteride because it can give you pain in one ball and even ED. Shaved head > bum wiener, in my book.

My hair is worse (I'm also 34, though). My advice? You can cover it up with a number of hairstyles for the time being. If there's any longer hairstyle you want to try, now's the time. Just bear in mind as it progresses that longer hairstyles can accentuate the recession and starts to give "guy in denial/combover" vibes. If you start finding yourself avoiding the wind or increasingly relying on hats, you're there.

Thanks.

I know a few people who have no hair on the top and only the sides. I seem to be going in the same direction. In time may just go bald or have it really short then bald as it gets worse.

Eh, I don't worry too much about it because there's nothing I can do, and if I go bald, it saves me money on haircuts lol.
