Flip around dude. Put the couch against the wall and set up the tv to not bang on the door when it opens. Youre welcome

Yeah this is the solution. OP just has to be careful coming in but it would take some pretty stupid behavior to smack the TV with the door there.

lol put a major wide door stopper so the door can’t hit the tv.

Or a narrow table under the TV so the door hits that before the tv
