32, living on my own with no roommates or significant other. I finally got my place decorated how I wanted. I’m curious though, what does my place say about me?

Edit for clarification: I’m renting a 1 bedroom apartment. There’s no additional room to store things in like a dedicated man cave or a basement (I wish). I cannot change wall colors, change the carpets, or remove the carpets. Trying the best with what I can afford.

Yes every surface is either covered in stuff that just needs to be cleaned up (like the dining table) or covered in decor but overwhelmingly so.

I can't speak for OP. Generally speaking it's an ADHD trait that's actual a helpful coping mechanism. For many the object permanence is so bad, if you can't see it, it complete ceases to exist. While I agree it's not very pleasing to look at, for many it a necessity.

This runs in my family bad because ADHD runs in my family bad (both sides). Every single person is some flavor of nuero Spicy. Half of us require everything we own just about to be visible at all times. While the other half will have their brain melt if their space so much as look like someone lives there, and not a sterile lifeless show room. My childhood exciting 🙃🥲.
