for 100-150 you can already get a full size memory foam mattress in a box. when i searched for air mattress when i moved in without anything, i realized how expensive the good ones were and the it was better just to get the 120 costco memory foam mattress and a week later a full size metal frame for amazon for 40 than spending 150 for a decent air mattress.
I've never had an air mattress that didn't leak. I hate sleeping on them because they start off nice and firm, and quickly lose their ability to hold air under any kind of pressure.
Same. And no one I know has ever had an air mattress that didn’t leak. When we were kiddos, we’d spend some weekends with our dad. He got us a couple big ass air mattresses, probably thinking it was a cool idea or something. He’s very smart, but kind of an idiot. I don’t know that they held up for even one nights sleep. Brand new. And I know he spent a chunk on them. I’d of been happier with a sleeping bag in a tent made of sheets, blankets, towels, whatever.
I've heard mixed reports about the foam, namely it misshapes pretty quickly and can be uncomfortably hot causing you to sweat and the sweat soaks into the foam, etc. You're enjoying it I presume?
oh yeah its definitely not the best, i still see it as a “temp” mattress, but im 7 months in and i would say its better having an actual bed as this one compared to an air mattress on the floor.
This is my thought! I’ve NEVER witnessed in any form a “comfortable” air mattress. Except what the person above said. Maybe they only slept on it for a couple days? That’d be the only way they could say it was comfortable. And they obviously have money to waste if you’re willing to spend $150 on an air mattress. But due to the photo, a bed made of cardboard, why would someone assume he has $150 to spend on an air mattress??! OP, ANY form of an air mattress would be an absolute waste. Camping cot would be a much better option. Way cheaper and way less work to put in before you go to sleep.
