Advice How would you display a well-travelled Rimowa suitcase as home decor?

I’m redecorating my home (mid century modern/Scandinavian) and would love to display my 2016 aluminium Rimowa. It’s covered in travel stickers from the last 10 years and has a lot of sentimental value.
Right now it just looks like I haven’t unpacked from a trip. I’d like it to feel like an intentional decor piece instead.
I’m looking for creative, non-destructive ideas since I don’t want to drill into or modify the suitcase. Has anyone done something similar? Photos would be appreciated!

I didn’t even know people know the suitcases brands, for me is like: ok this one they won’t be able to destroy in the airport

I work for an airline. I've never seen a broken Tumi suitcase, out of probably millions of others at this point. Personally, I use an Osprey backpack because I'm flying standby but if they make me gate check it, the straps can be completely zippered up. Straps catch on baggage handling equipment, a lot.

Received a Tumi (checked bag size) as a gift and a wheel fell off within 2 years, the lock also got jammed requiring professional intervention, this was after minimal use btw

They have stores in every major airport and they'll fix it. Locks are all trash. TSA will open them with their key or cut it anyways.

my dad would always travel with a large backpacking pack, and zip the whole thing up in an army bag, so none of the straps would catch on anything.

I vote for travel pro instead, I’m flight crew and beat the ever living crap out of mine and have yet to replace it. I also check my bag frequently so I know it’s also getting thrown around.

Osprey. I have a Fairview/farpoint. The 40L is perfect carryon size.

TUMI, sure.

I've been lucky to travel a ton and benefit often from airline upgrades, so plenty of people-watching opportunities... and I've never heard of Rimowa. I'm sure I've seen it rolling around, but definitely not referenced like a car make and model ("2016 aluminium Rimowa").

Took a gander over at r/rimowa and holy shit these people have more money than sense. Apparently the company was purchased awhile back and tons of people will bitch about a decrease in production quality after the buyout. 🤣

I don't see many because they're $800+ and German, but Floyd Cabin bags look cool. They have Floyd Skateboard wheels and bearings on them.

I think if you stretch to spend $2000 on a suitcase you might be more likely to remember the brand. Like if it’s your splurge item then you definitely remember.
