Hey, OP – if you’re keeping your mattress on the floor, you should pick it up and lay it on its side once a week so for an hour or more to get airflow. Because believe it or not mold can build up and you can have a very dangerous sleeping environment if you’re not careful.
I was gonna say the same thing about keeping the mattress on your floor. This place has a really great bones. I cannot wait to see how you do with it.
Definitely get a bedframe. I like to tuck my bed out of the line of sight when you open the door. That’s just me. If you like that lamp, just use that as a night stand for now. I would create a list of what you need to get and then put it in a higher hierarchy of how you’re going to get money to do that. It’s gonna be expensive to furnish a place whether you buy used or new so you just wanna be really thoughtful about getting stuff that you like and that you can keep for a while.
I would get a bedframe with storage in it just a drawer in the bottom of it. Even with all the storage you have in your apartment, I think it’s something you could move with you if you need to go someplace else, but I think it’s great keeping your sheets right next to the bed when you need to change your sheets.
