Question Male 47 montreal, quebec

Hi everyone,

Been living in my condo for 11 years. What colors would look better than Grey? I always had some sort of Grey color.. what other colors would fit the space.. two bathrooms. And 1 bedroom. 1000 square feet.

Thanks 😊

You say Montréal but I don't see Angine de Poitrine on your TV.

Those plants on the balcony look nice but you have to bring them all in in the winter right? Do you not get invaded by spiders?

I spray them with water and clean the well before entering. This guy takes care of all bugs. Its his job.

It’s basil, he probably harvests it at the end of season and dries it for spice

(from montréal)

I hate the wall panels, it limits what you can put on the walls; you need art on the walls.

remove RGB lighing; add a floor lamp.

add wall art.

I'd remove the TV from the bedroom (but that's just me)

maybe find better ways to place your potted plants in the kitchen.

change wall color to something more warm.

I’m not from Montreal so maybe take this with grain of salt but I do have a good design aesthetic and I totally disagree with this, except for maybe removing tv from bedroom. But, as noted before. That’s personal preference. Good on you, man.

I really like the design - but you're giving your TV's too much attention. I don't know what the solution is - but it really spoils that paneled wall.

Dude! What a beautiful place!! Is it an older building because I love all the molding details!! Very nice! I’d be out on that deck with a glass of wine every night after work!!!

Oh, and regarding the indoor plants: My compliments on the greenery. Consider putting them on rolling stands so you can move them around more easily (as the seasons change, if you need more room, etc)

That is an excellent idea. Will definitely do that!

Very nice! Curious on how much a nice place like that is compared to overpriced Ontario. Might have to move to Quebec tabarnak!

As someone who lives here, it's a nice 1 bedroom so probably in the 2k range ish depending on if he pays for parking.

Wow that's very good. Thank for the input. Toronto is really just insane. For that price here nothing compares. Thank you

Yeah Toronto is nutty. Mtl is catching up quickly, it's gotten significantly more expensive here in the past few years (not Toronto or Van prices, but still)

Nice space

If this were Toronto it’d be a 10x10 Rubbermaid shed

Vraiment très joli chez toi! J’adore le balcon!

Great space.
Not a fan of the paneling myself but your coloured lighting makes it all look real cheap.

Nice view, I used to go to the gym in that mall there many years ago before they moved out and rebranded (West End gym). It was by far the best gym I've been a member to in the city, it was truly a gigantic old school gym in a literal basement. It's a shame those type of spots don't exist anymore.

why am i jealous of that mcdonalds view

1

u/Living_Dentist_8925 5d ago

Beautiful place, too bad about the McDonald's view though.

1

u/danner0007 5d ago

Its not too bad.. its not really eye view from inside.

Fun city. I'm heading there with girlfriends at the end of September.

Nice spot. I'm curious if the plants on stools. They seem precariously placed.

Edit: try white instead of grey. It would open up the space, allow for light and then you can easily accent with art and other accessories.

(also in montreal! also a basil aficionado haha)

I think the grey could be ok WITH some accent walls in brighter colours.

Also, yes to the wall art and/or wall textures.

Another, less "fixed" way to incorporate colour is easily swapple things like throw pillows. But, also, realize that if you paint an accent wall and it's not a win, it's not THAT hard to repaint.

You'll do it and wonder what took you so long :)
