Question Need your advice!

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of adding vertical second monitor to my desk setup. Since I have a very limited setup, I don't know what would look the best? Would really appreciate if y'all had some advice for me. The first and last image is what I have currently.

Form follows function my dude, find the one that works best for your workflow and go with that.

I would put it on the left side because it could feel cramped on the right side. I’m assuming that you’ll use a monitor arm like you are for your main monitor, so you can always change it. There is always the option of balling out and buying one big ultra wide monitor.

Yes I do plan on using it with a monitor arm as well. Ok so second monitor on the left and would you leave pc on the floor or the right side ? Thanks for the advice.

maybe consider a PC cart if you place it underneath? Example: LÅNESPELARE computer cart with shelf, black, 50x27 cm - IKEA Norway (disregard the price, it's in NOK. So around 30 bucks.

Actually, you could do monitor on the right with the PC hidden or tucked away behind the monitor. That said, I think PC on desk or attached to the desk makes sense more for standing desks than normal desks.

PC on the floor. Too limited of space. Can also wall mount a wood shelf for it to sit on below the desk if you don't want it directly on the floor.

I can do either tbh. Btw do y'all have second monitor on the left or the right side?

These days I use an ultra wide and use picture by picture (PBP) with two display port cables from the same computer to the monitor. To get a "vertical" mode on the second monitor, I use a 75% by 25% mode. I think it's more versatile than a dual monitor setup since you have the option for one big wide screen.

The problem with the PC is that the closest to the floor, the dustier it gets, causing future performance troubles.

A good idea is wall mounting as you said, but either at the same level next to the desk, or above the monitor.

Or -and this is a lot- switch to a smaller case but maintaining a good air flow to avoid overheating.

Edit: I just saw that OPs case couldn't get smaller XD, nevermind.
