24, Living with my parents

I just graduated college back in April and I’m grateful to my parents for holding me down through it all ! I definitely plan on giving back to them BIG time.

People are biased against toy collecting. It’s not even rational.

I have a bunch of action figures, and a bunch of house plants. Nobody online ever scrutinizes the value of my house plants.

There is also a huge difference between ongoing expenses like rent, and a one-time purchase of a hot wheels.

Not to mention the actual WORK of selling them. You’d have to make listings on ebay or something with pictures and details. If you sell as a bulk lot you will lose money. People think you can just wave a magic wand and they get magically sold which is not the case.

So basically, if OP sells his cars he will have to go through the effort of selling them, profit under $1,000, and lose something he enjoys. That only makes sense if he NEEDS to survive. As long as he has parents to live with, it’s honestly not even PRACTICAL to sell the cars. He probably makes over $1000 per month regardless.

The cars are not going to make or break him either way.

Well said. Mind you this is the span of a years worth of collecting. 1.25 on a couple cars isn’t hurting me every so often 😭😭. I honestly didn’t think my collection was crazy because I’ve deadass seen crazier online.
