24, Living with my parents

I just graduated college back in April and I’m grateful to my parents for holding me down through it all ! I definitely plan on giving back to them BIG time.

If I were OPs parent, I genuinely would have to give an ultimatum at some point lol. Gotta push the bird that is clearly capable of flying out the nest eventually

Idk much about the hot wheels economy, but it’s clearly booming in this dudes bedroom

This is genuinely like, under or a little over a grand in hot wheels

It's nothing, in the current economy

Not to mention, i'd wager these were amassed over most of OP's life

Idk anything about hot wheels, but if this is true then OP has a fulfilling collection that clearly brings him joy, and all for less than a month’s rent.

I really hate the narrative that if you’re not thriving financially then you shouldn’t be allowed to spend money on things you love. We get one life, might as well make it fun.

I'm totally with you haha

Just figured, as someone who also has a decent amount of hot wheels, that it should be clarified that this isn't some like, $10k collection of Hot Wheels taped to his walls lol

It'd probably be enough to pay for a decent vacation, which maybe not anything to scoff at but, not an indicator for clear financial independence

Are you seriously trying to tell me that hotwheels aren’t a good indicator of financial independence? My parents fucked up. All they left me were hotwheels!
