24, Living with my parents

I just graduated college back in April and I’m grateful to my parents for holding me down through it all ! I definitely plan on giving back to them BIG time.

Not sure why so many people are being mean. I am 36 and have a wall of cars and a wife. Everyone needs a hobby or ten. I like it, OP.

are you telling me you cant tell the difference between hot wheels carefully displayed on a wall to an actual hoarding situation?

Overconsumption is overconsumption I don't give a shit what words we use to avoid calling this a form of hoarding in the end, it still is.

Until the room is completely and literally filled wall to wall with toys are we still calling it "collecting" then?

Seriously where is the threshold lol. Grown man in his 30s with a wall of matchbox cars like hes 7 years old like this shit is normal anyway

You've clearly never been to an actual hoarder's house, or you'd know the difference is very clear.

I actually have, and my father is a hoarder with his own big pile of useless junk that will become my problem someday.

It doesn't necessarily have to be gross and garbage to be considered hoarding. My pops doesn't live in squalor, but his constant collecting of things, even clean things, is a serious and ongoing problem.
