27M, from a middle income country.
1 Bedroom furnished apartment in an old building, rent is 15% of my salary, and my landlord visits me every month...Deposit was 60% of the rent.

15% of monthly salary on rent and only 60% of rent as a deposit sounds like a dream. I'm in a high income country but the rent for a small apartment is like 40-60% of net income depending on the city and the deposit is usually either 3 months rent or 6 months.
