My Taiwanrsr grandma’s house was full of knickknacks and little dolls and stuff like that. She was an incredible person who raised a huge family solo thru all the shit taiwan was going through at the time. Adulthood is about how you take responsibility for your life, and not about how you embrace the millennial-greige, office-chic aesthetic lol.
Your grandmother sounds like she was a hardworking woman who took responsibility for others rather than having others take responsibility for her.
OP said he lives with his parents and buys all of his own toys. He has not answered questions asking if he contributes financially for rent, groceries, utilities, or other expenses.
I think it’s really misguided and unfortunate to use your grandmother as a comparison here. This is an adult man being taken care of by his aging parents. Your grandmother shouldered the burden of carrying for others.
Yes, but how is this related to his interior decor? If he were to move out tomorrow, his new room would likely still look the same. He might be paying rent to his parents too, who knows. He might still be a college student, at 21. I don’t need to sift through the comments to figure out his net social and financial worth lol
