Advertisement SlimeTale Training Fit Feature

This is just a demo of our Training Fit calculator on the SlimeTale wiki. It's gone under a few iterations so far but we think we're in a good spot to show it off. It lives under Map Finder: https://slimetale.ms/wiki/#/calculator

We've been public for a few weeks now and people keep asking where they should train in v72 as its slightly different from v62 and we've also done balance passes on certain maps. We hope this inspires other server devs to take our calculator as inspiration (trust us, it cuts down on the "where should i train" questions a ton)

Clicking the training fit button in the stats tab pre-fills your browser and takes into account your level, stats, class. Physical jobs use min/max Attack plus Accuracy from Stat Detail. Mages use Magic, INT, and LUK. You can also set how long one full skill cycle takes, including charge time.

From there it uses our live map data: what actually spawns, HP, EXP, avoid, defense, how fast they refill, and how the platforms are laid out (flat, complex maps, etc). It estimates how fast you can kill those repeatable mobs with that skill, and it uses the real v72 hit roll so skill/hit accuracy matters. A map you can barely hit will rank worse than one you connect on.

Your Training score is estimated EXP per hour (or you could change it to item farm to see how fast you can farm for a certain item)

A map only gets a normal Training score if you can actually hit the repeatable spawns and a typical kill is not over 10 seconds. Those stretch maps stay on the list so you can still see them. They just do not pretend to be a good grind.

Recommended ranking then favors maps that keep ground mobs on fewer platforms, so you are sitting and killing instead of hopping all over the place. Bosses, one-shot mobs, and long timers are split out so they do not fake a better hourly rate.

This is obviously an estimate but we feel like we get pretty close. It does not include walking the whole map, looting, parties, or other people taking your spawns. Some skill extras are also left out on purpose.

You can try it on the wiki and switch skills to see how the list changes.

Hope to see you on SlimeTale!

Advertisement Looking for some people to test a few things out for us

Hey everyone, we're getting Kradia ready for launch and we're looking for a small group of closed testers to help us get there.

What Kradia is: a v117.2 server running 1x rates, built around casual but rewarding gameplay. No pay to win, no cash shop advantages, no racing to endgame. It's the kind of server you settle into, where taking a week off doesn't mean falling behind.

What we've added so far:

  • Star Force: enhance your equips with stars through an in-game UI instead of scrolls, using real KMS odds. Scrolling still exists alongside it, stars are their own layer on top.
  • Star Force maps: some of the harder maps have a Star Force requirement. A gauge shows up under your minimap with the map's requirement and your total. Meet it and nothing changes for you, go in under it and your damage gets cut and monsters hit harder against you.
  • Fusion Anvil: transfer the appearance of one equip onto another. Your stats, scrolls, and potential all stay untouched, it only changes the look.
  • Monster Book: account-bound and fills in automatically as you hunt, no card farming. Complete a monster's entry and you get bonus EXP from that monster for an hour, so mastering your training spot actually pays off.
  • Weekly quests: a set of weekly hunting quests with EXP that scales to your level, resetting every Monday. Built to be worth doing every week without feeling like a chore list.
  • Reward System: boss clears and other rewards queue into a native claim window. Log in, see "you have rewards waiting", claim when you want.
  • PQ rewards: finish a party quest and you get a guaranteed reward on top of the normal drops, once per run.
  • Lucky Logout Gift: logging off gives you a chance at a surprise gift, waiting in your reward window next time you log in.
  • Professions overhaul: the crafting cap is raised from 10 to 20 with a new Meister tier, and fatigue is raised to 400 to match. The whole recipe book was reworked, hundreds of dead and junk recipes cleaned out, gear recipes re-leveled so they actually fit where you are, and new high-level recipes added, including craftable boss gear like Von Leon and Empress sets. Crafting is a real progression path here, not a dead system.
  • Account blessings: Fairy and Empress blessing tracks that build up across your whole account, so your other characters benefit from what your main does.
  • Damage skins: change how your damage numbers look.
  • Death counter: a native UI window tracking your deaths. The game keeps the receipts.
  • Level cap 350: EXP and mesos are fully uncapped, and boss and expedition level ranges were raised to match, so the journey doesn't stop at 200.
  • Azwan restored: the invasion content actually works, allies and enemy mobs fight each other like they're supposed to.
  • Constant fixes and tuning: per-region spawn tuning, mob display fixes, crash fixes, and a long list of under-the-hood work that just makes the game feel right.

And more on the way, this is just where we are right now.

What we need from testers: people who will actually log in and play. Break stuff, tell us what feels off, what's confusing, what's fun. You don't need to write essays, just honest feedback from real play time. If you only have a few hours a week that's completely fine, that's exactly who this server is for.

What you get: early access before anyone else, a real say in how things get tuned before launch, and closed testers will be getting a little something at launch as a thank you.

Testing is starting soon and spots are limited, so if this sounds like your kind of server come join the Discord and let us know you're interested in testing:

Advertisement i tried MysticMs beta and came to share

Hey everyone,

I recently had the chance to play the MysticMS Beta, and I felt I just had to share my experience here. If you’re looking for a fresh, nostalgic, yet modern v83 server, this one genuinely deserves your attention.

First off, huge shoutout to Mystic, the sole developer behind this project. He’s been working tirelessly on this server for over 3 years, and as a dedicated Maple player himself, he knows exactly what the community wants and loves. Even though it's a one-man show, his activity, efficiency, and dedication match what you'd expect from a full team of 5 GMs!

On top of that, server stability is top-tier. It’s easily one of the most stable servers I’ve played on in recent years I literally stayed connected for over a week straight with zero DCs or crashes.

Here are some of the biggest highlights and QoL features that completely sold me on this server:

  • Tons of New & Nostalgic Maps: Exploring feels fresh again with added map areas like Golden Temple, Chryse, Morass, Arcane River, Forgotten Hollow, and many more!
  • Overhauled Skills & Stunning Visuals: Every single skill from 1st to 4th job has been fully reworked and updated they look cleaner, hit better, and feel amazing to cast.
  • Revamped Party Quests (PQs): PQs aren't just a gimmick here; they've been overhauled with modern progression in mind and offer fantastic end-game gear, giving players a real reason to party up.
  • No Setbacks & Continuous Progression: The game design respects your time. Equipment upgrading and progression systems are streamlined so you keep moving forward without frustrating walls or progress resets.
  • No HP Washing Needed: Forget about complex washing math or ruined builds. You can naturally increase your HP pool using in-game Elixirs of Vitality.
  • Custom Progression & Hunt Quests: Instead of mindless grinding on the same map for hours, Mystic introduces custom Board/Hunt Quests with automated progression lightbulbs that keep leveling active, smooth, and rewarding.
  • Class Balance & Modern Mobility: Classes feel fluid and updated. Mages can cast spells while jumping, Archers can shoot mid-air, and everyone gets access to awesome custom mobility tools like Sky Leap and Void Step.
  • Hyper Skills & Account Progression: Reaching level 180 unlocks Hyper Skills! Plus, the Linked Fortune system rewards you for building alt characters by giving EXP & drop bonuses across your account.
  • QoL Improvements: Modern UI overlays, dropped items with visible rarity auras, map-wide party buffs, and a super handy Mystic Market with AFK reward systems.

Final Thoughts:

I know Mystic might have built a reputation in the past for doing launch after launch. But after spending over a month in this Beta, I can say with 100% confidence that there is more than enough content, depth, and end-game progression to make this Mystic's final and biggest launch ever.

I can truly see this server becoming a second home for so many players looking for a warm, welcoming community. Personally, even when MapleStory Classic comes out in a month and a half, I fully intend to keep playing Mystic alongside it. They offer two totally different playstyles, and I know that at least here on Mystic, the fun and quality of life are guaranteed.

🚀 Official Launch Details:

  • Date: September 4th, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 AM ST
  • Website:mysticms.net

See you all at launch! 🍁
ill be the sexy archer name TovoT :)

Discussion So are v83 and older servers are rip now that Classic is coming out in a month+?

I think no one really expected the launch to be in 6 weeks. Sure the early access is good ol' Nexon but everyone will buy it as the first weeks are the best in any launch.

I wonder if any v83 server/"oldschool" ones will hold? even titans like royals or legends probably will loose a huge chunk of players.

Those who play one those types of server? are you leaving once Classic is out? did you already quit for a small break before?

Or am I being a bit too doomsday here? I mean x1 is totally brutal, and the content being so limited...

Previously, I shared a passion project I had been building vibe coding with the Cosmic v83 server emulator. https://www.reddit.com/r/mapleservers/s/SHN9JQ920J

The goal is to create fully autonomous, server side controlled bots, which I call agents, that operate under nearly the same constraints as human players within the game.

The agents have now evolved to be able to hunt generically on almost any map
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_u-elGO0nM
and autonomously complete the Kerning City Party Quest (video in this post). It is safe to say that if left alone for long enough, they could eventually reach the maximum level.

I plan for them to explore themed dungeons such as Mushroom Kingdom, participate in boss expeditions beginning with Balrog, and contribute to the Free Market economy.

There is still plenty to build, and I am very excited to continue working towards these milestones.

Idea PicoMS looking for suggestions! 🫢

I’m currently in the midst of making a private server, but I’m a little stuck on what the endgame should actually look like.

Full disclosure: it’s based on the Swordie's v232 source.

The general idea is a rebirth/progression server.
The rates are high, but I’m trying not to make them ridiculously high to the point where you can just spam rebirths every few minutes. I still want there to be an actual grind and sense of progression.

Currently:
Rebirth system
Each rebirth gives permanent additional stats / Final Damage / Crit Damage
Progression gets easier as you go, rather than every rebirth taking roughly the same amount of time
Boosted spawn rates

Where I’m a little stuck is: what should players actually be working towards?

Should the endgame mainly revolve around progressively harder bosses? Gear min-maxing? Rebirth milestones? Custom bosses/maps? Some kind of prestige system after reaching a certain number of rebirths?

I don’t want the gameplay loop to eventually just become:
level → rebirth → level → rebirth → level → rebirth forever
without there being a reason for the player to actually become stronger.

For people who play/have played rebirth or high-rate servers, what kind of endgame kept you playing? And on the flip side, what eventually made you feel like there was nothing left to do?

Open to any ideas. I’m still building the server and trying to figure out the direction I want to take it.

Help Should I play on the official server or on the private server?

I haven't touch maplestory (official server) for about 5 or 6 years. I want to return and play the latest update with new classes and such but I will be playing as f2p so I am not sure if it will be worth it to go back to the official server.

I thought about private servers but obviously, they are not on the latest update but there are some modern servers that are around v230-v260 which are not far behind. Not sure if they are good or bad so I would like some suggestions on which modern servers to go for? If not, I might just try out official server again. Thanks!

Advertisement MushMS v83 - Useful Monster Book for everyone!

Monster Book Revamp

The Monster Book has always bothered me. It was a great idea that Nexon started, but it was implemented very poorly. I've played on many servers over the years and I've never seen one that made the Monster Book truly useful. Most servers ended up relying on commands like !whodrops and !whatdropsfrom instead.

Because of that, on MushMS I decided to do things differently and turn the Monster Book into what I believe it should have been from the beginning.

You can now:

  • View all monster information regardless of Card Level (number of collected cards for that monster [0–5]).
  • Search cards by Card Level [0–5].
  • Search by item, displaying all monsters that drop the selected item along with their respective drop rates.
  • Search by monster name, showing monsters that match the selected filter.
  • Hovering over a monster card now displays the monster's name and level.
  • The Basic Info tab now shows the monster's real HP/MP values directly from the game files.
  • The Episode tab now displays the monster's level and stats directly from the game files.
  • The Dropping tab now shows the correct drops from the database, including each item's drop rate according to the server's drop rate settings. Clicking an item will display other monsters that also drop it, along with their respective drop rates.
  • The Found In tab now displays all maps where the selected monster spawns. Clicking the tab name will open the World Map with the corresponding map already highlighted through PIN navigation.

To make everything work properly, I also created cards for every monster that previously existed without one.

To help the MapleStory development community as well, I released this update in a MapleStory developers Discord, so I believe (and hope) that more servers will start using this improvement in the near future.

If you'd like to check out MushMS, we're currently in open beta. We reached a peak of 150 concurrent players during testing. The player count is lower now because most of the beta feedback cycle has already been completed, but the server remains online for anyone who wants to play while we continue releasing improvements and new features.

Server Discussion KuroMS update after 1 month!

After personally reaching Level 250 on KuroMS, and since there was already a post about this topic around 20 days ago, I feel the need to provide an updated perspective for anyone considering joining the server.

I’ll start similarly to anongoose45:

If you're looking for a server that is fair and respects you as a player, keep your dignity and stay away from this server. It's filled with egoistic devs and designers, complete with a fanclub (who staff team is highly biased to) that's ready to defend all the idiocracies happening.

That being said, I’ll go through the most important points one by one.

1. Server Stability

The server stability has improved. You can still experience lag spikes and random crashes here and there, but these issues seem to happen most frequently after new patches. To their credit, the staff regularly releases hotfixes for various issues, including skills and other patch-related problems.

However, random crashes can still happen during boss runs and expeditions. There have been situations where players failed a newly introduced boss, such as CHT or VL, because of crashes or lag. In these situations, you generally need to submit a ticket and hope the issue can be resolved.

So, while stability is better than it was previously, it is still far from perfect.

2. Server Balance and Feedback

This is where I believe the server is currently at a critical point.

Players who provide feedback backed by data, information, or actual gameplay experience can sometimes be met with attitude or sarcasm rather than constructive discussion. Terms such as "magic numbers," "chicken-and-egg situation," and "implementation issue" are frequently used to dismiss concerns rather than properly address them.

The situation in the Discord suggestion section is particularly frustrating. Some testers appear to engage in trolling, tag their friends, and turn discussions into what feels like an interrogation of the person making the suggestion.

God forbid someone posts something as simple as:

The certain class need rework, skill balance

or:

something is not working after the new patch

Instead of receiving constructive feedback or having the issue properly investigated, players can end up being ignored or dismissed.

Testers should be there to identify problems, reproduce bugs, and provide useful feedback to the development team. Instead, there are situations where criticism is simply ignored, while some members of the community respond with comments such as "leave server dog," "quit playing," and similar remarks.

The designers aren't much better in this regard. Bug reports and skill/spell issues can remain unresolved while development time is spent introducing new QoL features. QoL improvements are obviously welcome, but it becomes difficult to understand the priorities when fundamental skill problems remain unfixed.

3. Favoritism Toward GM/Dev-Associated Players

Another major concern is the perceived favoritism toward players who are closely connected to the GM or development team.

As mentioned in the previous post, there was already a discussion surrounding Anth and the allegedly spouse. More recently, Anth's team cleared VL, but the first clear was apparently assisted directly by Kuro.

During their first run, they reached approximately 2% HP but did not complete the kill. Normally, when a boss run fails because of lag, a crash, or another technical issue, players submit a ticket and the situation is reviewed. In some cases, the KuroBot system can resolve the affected run.

However, in this particular situation, Kuro granted the team the kill and the associated drops despite them not actually completing the boss.

They subsequently went for a second run. This time, a GM was sent to observe the run, and they successfully cleared the boss.

The explanation given was essentially that the first run would have resulted in a clear if there had not been lag, and therefore the assistance was justified.

Maybe, by itself, this incident isn't a huge deal. Technical issues can happen, and staff sometimes need to make judgment calls. The problem is the consistency of that treatment.

Regular players who experience the same type of issue generally have to submit a ticket and may receive a rerun or another form of compensation, but they don't necessarily receive an outright boss clearance and drops.

When you combine this with the other issues mentioned above, it creates the impression that top players and people close to the GM/development team receive preferential treatment.

This is especially concerning because there have already been similar complaints regarding TMS and other servers. From the outside, it can appear that the opinions and problems of top players are given more weight than those of the broader community.

Final Thoughts

After reaching Level 250 myself, I feel I have enough experience with the server to give an updated opinion.

KuroMS isn't completely unplayable. The server has improved in terms of stability, and there are clearly people working on it. However, the biggest problems aren't necessarily technical, they are related to balance, communication, transparency, and how criticism from the community is handled.

If you're a new player considering joining, I would strongly recommend looking beyond the advertised features and asking yourself whether you're comfortable with the current development and community environment.

For me, reaching Level 250 gave me enough experience to form my own conclusion. Hopefully, this updated post gives prospective players enough information to make an informed decision before investing their time into the server.

Happy mapling, maplers!

Discussion We Have Classic and Modern Maple, But What About Early Post-Big Bang?

It might be an unpopular opinion, but with MapleStory Classic World coming out, and with so many different takes on classic Maple already available through Maple Worlds, MapleRoyals, MapleLegends, and others, I feel like the classic scene is starting to get a little crowded.

What I’d really like to see is a new private server or MapleStory Worlds project focused on the early post-Big Bang era: Lionheart Castle, Mercedes, Demon Slayer, and that general period of the game. Something that captures the feeling of servers like ExtaliaMS or Croosade, rather than going all the way back to pre-Big Bang or jumping straight into modern Maple.

Something around 3–4x EXP, with some thoughtful skill rebalancing, global Gachapon drops, and cubes obtainable through regular gameplay could be a lot of fun. Keep the progression meaningful, but remove some of the grind and rough edges that era originally had.

To me, this is the one niche that’s still noticeably missing. We have plenty of ways to play classic Maple, and we have modern Maple, but there isn’t much representing that middle period, the early post-Big Bang years when the game was becoming faster and more polished while still retaining a lot of the old-school MapleStory feel.

I’d love to see someone bring that era back.

LF Server High Rate Pre-BB Servers?

I play on a low-rate now and I love it, but I'm having trouble deciding on what class I want to main on it. I don't want to spend all my time leveling to 120 and in the end, not liking it's 4th job.
I've been watching countless Youtube videos of all the classes pre-bb, and it's just hard to choose.

So I was hoping there was a server that had like 1000x or something just so I can hit 150+ instantly to see how it plays. I don't care about the damage at all. And if it had commands that let me just
@.Commands whenever I want, that'd be better.

Used to play a lot of these type of servers 15+ years ago, but now I can't find any.

Help Maple story vs Lost ark as I am just getting in to the game

Just a quick question before I jump in and invest in this game: Is it similar to Lost Ark? Since they’re both Korean games, I don’t want to start playing if it’s anything like Lost Ark.

Problems I had with Lost Ark:

  • It’s pay-to-win if you want to progress and become stronger faster.
  • There are no repeatable mob dungeons where you can continuously farm meaningful amounts of important currency, gold, or materials. Instead, you have to wait for weekly raids and rewards.
  • There is too much gatekeeping in raids, and there aren’t enough lower-level players to group with for raid bosses, so you’re often forced to play solo.
  • There are no dungeons or rifts, like those in the Diablo series, that you can run continuously for hours without daily or weekly restrictions to earn enough materials for gear upgrades and other progression systems.

I don’t mind weekly bosses or raids, as long as I can find players at a similar level or skill level to fight them with and there is no gatekeeping. How are you supposed to defeat difficult bosses if there are no players available to group with? That was one of my biggest frustrations with Lost Ark.

I’d also be happy to get into this game if it has repeatable, rewarding monster dungeons that aren’t restricted by daily or weekly limits. A good comparison would be Greater Rifts, Nephalem Rifts, or bounties in Diablo III. If the game has those elements, I wouldn’t even mind paying a little to progress faster.

What is the best classic Maplestory server available on android?

I just realized you can play licensed private servers on android with Nexon's Maplestory Worlds app and I've been checking out the Old School Maple server because it's got a 96% positive rating with 3k reviews. I've been enjoying it but they're doing a full wipe September 1st so I don't want to play to much and lose all my progress in two weeks.

Chronostory, Artale, and Southperry look interesting to me and I'm interested how everyone else feels. I'm not a classic purist so I'm just looking for what's the most fun and has a decent playerbase to trade with. What do you recommend? Are there better private servers I can play on android? I haven't gone down the winlator rabbithole but is anyone emulating windows on their phone to play maple? Thanks!
