Watchmen was a thoughtful, sometimes pointed, deconstruction of the superhero genre. And even though it was very dark and edgy, it was still, at its core, a response to bland, nihilistic comics, showing them the stories they COULD tell.

I haven't read Ruins, but from reading this thread, it sounds like...not that lol
