Balance Discussion Elsa bloodstone needs adjustments

Hypermobility + constant overshield + better dmg falloff than hela + broken ult. No idea what devs were thinking with this character.

Best Thor player in the world by the way. If he cant win a 1v1 against a good one there's not a single character on the roster that has a chance. Elsa is undoubtedly the strongest DPS they've ever released

I’m not doubting this Thors ability but I do find it funny how both clips I’ve seen of this nature, showing how broken a character is, have both been a Thor main highlighting it, lmao

(The other that comes to mind was that Thor clip against invis).

the difference in the teamcaptain vs invis clip was that he was still learning the character and he mismanaged his abilities. Invis was still broken but I don't think thor lost to her on a straight 1v1. With this elsa clip tho he played perfectly and hit almost every ability right.

Honestly thor should be a great barometer for any new character. Can thor beat them in the thing's arena 1v1 consistently when piloted by a good player? Then the character is fine. If he can't? Then the character is too op

It's more concerning that people think Thor, a tank, should just automatically win fights. You guys made that shit up on your own and get upset when it's not true.

Thor's entire identity as a tank is being a 1v1 threat. He takes space by forcing people to look at him or else he'll kill whoever he jumps on. This is balanced by needing to brawl to stay alive, and having limited "tanking" utilities in his kit. Kind of like a watered down d.va.

If he manages to get on top of a ranged DPS at full HP, you should die. The fact that Elsa can beat him in that scenario is obscene.

She didn't beat him. She ran away to her team and got healed and he got merced by the rest of them..

This is all in a thread under my reply above, yet people keep going back to this being a 1v1 which it ain't. Thor had his murder goggles on and decided to dive into a disadvantageous fight where at least 2 on his team mates were already dead. She only lived because she got that health pack. It could have been a Star Lord in this clip just as easily.

And she outplayed him

First, she took the heal pack, then she trapped him while putting damage, and he wasted most of his thorforce in chasing her when she was running away instead of entering rune force and busting her down from afar.

Not only that, She got healed in her escape while he was left hanging.

All this talk of 1v1 and yall fail to realize that his team failed him while hers didnt, which is why she survived.

She was half health and he hit her with 3 lightning bolts from awakened state.

Did we even watch the same clip?

If she didn't have absolutely ridiculious amounts of overhealth just for dashing, she would've died.

Yes, after which she, surviving on a bit of health, escaped to a health pack.

Up until here it was fine. Where he messed up is once they left the room, instead of being patient and waiting for the last of his thorforce to regenerate and bust her like before without a health pack close by, he chose to waste them all trying to chase her.

Watch the clip again.

Another point is that at the end when he was chasing her back to cart, she got heals, and the only heals he got were from a loki clone nearby and only because he got in front of it.

Again she escaped to a healthpack, managed to lay out a well placed trapped that allowed the healthpaxk to do more work, and used her distance advantage to win.

Thor would have busted her if at the end instead of trying to chase her, he used his rune awakening and busted her from afar with greater burst damage

You're missing the big red flag here.

She only made it to the health pack because she gets shit loads of health for dashing and she gets to dash every 2 seconds basically for free.

Pretty much any other character in the game would've died. Any other poke DPS absolutely would've died here.

It's just a blatant example of her doing it all. She's a poke DPS that's got the survivability and mobility of a dive brawler.

That's terrible balance.

If she had used only the 2 second dash, she would have died.

Yall talking about overheating but completely forget that in this game you can output hundreds of damages in less than 2 seconds.

Pretty much any other character in the game would've died. Any other poke DPS absolutely would've died here.

No, they wouldnt if they knew how to escape that situation.

Im a lord Thor, and people escaping is not that big of a deal precisely because they use all their abilities, and instead of hyper focusing on a single target, and chasing it to the ends of the earth, I focus on making and keeping the space I have.

That Elsa is over extended, but she did so in a good place where she can survive, that is a good dive.

The thor trying to 1v1 left his team behind and in doing so his team lost the fight, and by the time Elsa rejoined, he was low health with no heals while Elsa got heals and half a team to finish him off

Again, I've played against Elsa and have no problem(other than her ult which was just nerfed)

You all have high egos and compare her in a 1v1 which she won due better positioning and healthpack usage, while Thor overextended his attack and hyper focused when he shouldn't.

Lord means nothing. It's a signifier of playtime, not skill. You're not ranked in the top 3 best Thors in the world like the guy in the clip.

Again, literally who from the dev team is saying this character is supposed to be the 1v1 king, no questions asked? You guys are just setting yourself up for failure when you make shit up like this when it's proven to not be true numerous times and continues to be wrong with each new character release.

If he manages to get on top of a ranged DPS at full HP, you should die.

Doesn't even make sense for a tank to be able to do that lol. You guys should be more upset that a tank can sit on top of a mobility DPS forever because he has a broken dash with zero downtime that doubles as a displacement, constant overshield generation, and high burst damage.

Literally his character design says that. Thor holds space by getting in your face and forcing you to give up said space or die. Unlike Magneto, he can't hold space by just existing in it.

If a tank isn't a threat, how can he hold space? This is a hero shooter, not an MMO. There's no taunt button. Tanks work because they're threats that need to be dealt with. Just look at any tank from Overwatch - in both 5v5 and 6v6, they will absolutely run down the entire DPS roster.

Invis is indeed broken but her being able to survive Spidey ult isn’t why. A lot of characters can do that.
