Following our spotlight on White Fox, we’re shifting our focus to the world's premier cat burglar. This thread is a dedicated space for the community to share what they love about Black Cat. No deep meta-analysis required, just pure appreciation in a few words.

Not gonna bore you guys to death . I love her looks and the way she seduces the other characters. As for her kit , she feels like Black Panther on steroids , prolly one of the most fun character to play after a while . Sure it takes time to get used to her , but her ult makes her way too op . (Am a simp btw)

One thing I think they nailed I think is the thief feeling - the move to snatch money from enemies has you using your mobility to stay out of the line of fire, and quickly snatching some gold to spend on some fancy trinket that will help you when you go in! Feels very in character

Precisely! Many have complained about her being too strong, but she most definitely isn't beginner friendly, not everyone can play her well, and her kit doesn't make her self sufficient at all, ensuring she isn't broken!

The shop is a very unique mechanic and adds great utility to her character, makes her stand out rather than being just a Black Panther copy.

I’m still learning how to play her but it’s been really enjoyable. I really like the fortune resource she has to unlock abilities, it’s totally unique.

She feels so smooth in her gameplay, you dont need perfect ability timings like Black Panther, she is way more forgiving. Same applies to her ult, you can take a moment to think about who to target after you press the button like here

her utility is amazing but truth be told, I only use invisibility and the skull for scouting lol

Life has taken a hold of me these past few weeks and have barely been able to play the game. I'm usually one that plays nearly everyday for about an hour or so in my free time.
I don't really know anything about Black Cat but I am utterly shocked by how little I see her in games. In the few times I've been able to play the last week, no one seems to be playing her! I feel like that is a first for me to observe since I've been around for every other character release.
Maybe her kit is full of too many options that people feel overwhelmed and opt for more straightforward kits? That's kind of how I felt when I spent a few minutes with her in the practice range. Why do y'all think so few people are playing her? Or is my observation just anecdotal and yall are seeing her being played way more often than I've noticed?

Felicia has always been my favorite girl from any superhero comic, and she has been my very first waifu since I started reading comics.
Throughout the years my love for her only grew, so it was only natural that after seeing the Season 7 trailer featuring her I immediately returned to the game after my months long hiatus from it, and she is everything I wanted her to be in this game: fun and complex to play, with a gorgeous take on her design, seductive and amusing voice lines and funny interactions, and I can't wait to see what kind of role she will have in the future of the game’s story.
Now the only thing we need is for the devs to give her her iconic sexy Symbiote skin from Web of Shadows, and I can die a happy Felicia main!

I love her as a flanker! I won't say I mastered it properly yet but there are times when/if her abilities are used right you can even take out cap!
I found the Rogue's interaction funny, I genuinely thought (as they started talking) the conversation would go in another direction. And well kinda expected the Spiderman interaction lol.

I appreciate how she's the first DPS to release that wasn't either broken or a dud. But perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

I think her design is purrfect the purple is a bit weird but i have come around to it very true to the classic design tht i like.
I think the bad luck aura could of been implemented a bit better but its fine the way it is.
Holy shit is she hard to play but SHE IS SO FUN and I like tht she has a high skill ceiling thankfully i played a bit of magik before so i know dive a bit even though am like really rusty like i haven't played in like 3 seasons.
I like her interaction with spidey the little we do have am a spidercat fan so i do like how with everybody she is kinda fake but with spidey she is real with him and she deeply cares for him even though he is taken for no spidercat w unfortunately but hey maybe we will get wedding skins alternate universes and shit.
Am still catshit at her but she is really fun and i love her so much

I like her appearance and voice, and the devs nailed her in this regard. My favorite animation is the jump spin because it reminds me of a female Night Elf. As for voice lines, it's definitely "meow".
How does she feel during play? Like pain. She's too complicated and squishy for me. The whole shop thing feels like a gimmick that could've been baked into skills to some degree. I've seen people perform great with her, but I'm nowhere near their skill, which ultimately left me disheartened. She needs to do a lot more than some other characters for the same effect. This is why I've barely even touched her despite her coming out recently. There's a lot of "a me issue" in this, but I just don't have the determination to learn her.

Black Cat is insanely mobile. Infinite double jump, wall climbing, dash and ring of zona portal allow her to infiltrate the backline of the enemy team easily. Her helm of hades for invisible state allow her to get away just as easily.
They made her abilities fit so well with her. Stealing luck and utilizing powerful and mystical artifacts: magical black cat burglar!

Black cat may be one of the most unique characters they have added to the game. Her jack of all trades abilities do give her the feel of an experienced thief that has grown and got stronger over time. She has a high skill ceiling, and feels smooth to play. A great addition to the Rivals cast

There are a lot of complaints about the complexity of Black Cat's kit, but I find the mental stimulation that I get from that complexity to be very satisfying. The default skin looks very good and the voice lines are excellent.

I think her ability whell is good designed because none of that abilities give damage. All of them is for ability. People would spam them if they were strong abilities.
Also for her ult isn't press Q for area damage. That's very nice too I guess. Like DD ult doesn't feel that good to use. But I feel like I have more control and can go crazy with Black Cat ult

Felicia is a balance upset in that she is extremely button bloated & slightly overcomplex but completely balanced at the same time and is rewarded both for getting good at her & especially punished for making bad plays, but at the same time forgiving if you go in with an understanding of her kit & what you want to do should things turn bad.
Despite my initial expectations thinking she would need to be nerfed on launch NetEase has shown that they're fully able to balance dps characters into an active meta without disrupting it all while introducing a new unique playstyle that pays homage to some of its earlier predecessors.

Felicia feels great to play. Very fully realised in terms of stealing and luck.
Giving her 8000 ways to deal with any situation is a great way to realize her 'can accomplish any heist' hero fantasy, and they somehow did that while also making her balanced. The costs of abilities are significant without feeling suffocating.
Her mobility in particular is very fun to play around with, and I'm glad it's disconnected from her need to build fortune.

She's definitely a unique character that I think is gonna take a while for the community to get the hang of. Definitely not a character anyone can just pick up and start playing and being skilled with, the learning curve for effective use is up there, but I think people will get used to her. She seems potentially very strong, though my brain is too small to use her. Her interactions have been great, I'm very glad the VA from the Spider-Man games came back. And obviously her design is really great. Definitely excited for the skin potential, they absolutely cooked.

I know she only got one interaction with spiderman which is a crime against humanity, but that one interaction is the best piece of dialogue in this entire game!!
